General Hospital Recap Monday, May 6: Nurses Ball Brings Major Drama As Ava/Kevin Happy Couple Farce Triggers Port Charles
Truth and consequences
Last time, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) arrived at a Corinthos family therapy session to deliver some hard truths about her time at Dawn of Day. At first, Kristina is combative about hearing more “anti DoD propaganda”, but when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) pulls her aside and asks if she trusts him and says Willow has no agenda but speaking her truth, Kristina agrees to hear Willow out. It isn’t pretty. Willow details Harmony’s (Inga Cadranel) search for meaning and purpose that led them to a ton of places before joining up with DoD shortly before Willow turned 18.
She shares her mom’s journey to The Trust and how Willow was soon chosen. You can see some of the stuff is sounding familiar and bothers her, even as she brushes off the tattoo thing. Willow breaks down as she finally tells Kristina that getting into The Trust is just a way for Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) to get into someone’s pants. She swears that she’s telling the truth before Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) thanks her for sharing and Willow leaves.
Sonny takes this very hard, throwing a mug as he curses Shiloh before saying he has some things to do. Right. We can just imagine what those are. Neil manages to calm things down and then opens the front door, telling Kristina that she’s got what she needs to make an informed choice about her future, whatever it may be.
General Hospital Spoilers: Nurses Ball of Drama
The annual Nurse’s Ball is shaping up to be a very awkward event because of this Kevin/Ava farce. The first to bring drama is Lucy, who can’t believe what she’s seeing. Ava and Lucy are eventually left alone, and Lucy demands answers. Ava’s not in the mood to give them, thanks, and reminds Lucy that if she ever puts a hand on her again, that big, fat checks to the Ball’s cause can disappear very quickly.
Scott isn’t taking the news very well, either. He’d gotten Ava alone as well and demands to know what’s up. He remembers her trying to get him to play bait before, and he wants to make sure Ava isn’t doing something stupid. She insists that Kevin has helped her to accept Ryan is gone and he’s a big source of comfort to her. You can so see that Scott isn’t buying this.
Laura Webber (Genie Francis) isn’t enjoying this either. She’s already counting down the days until Kevin and Ava aren’t playing new happy couple. She’s just finished a call with Kevin when Robert approaches her to say hello. They catch up a bit and Robert is both glad and sorry that Laura and Kevin are apparently not a thing anymore. He offers to accompany Laura to the ball, but she doesn’t think she’s up to that.
GH Spoilers: A turn for the worse
Jordan is in a little bit of trouble today, as both Ana and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) are upset with her for hiding the extent of her health issues. When she argues to Curtis that she had no idea her kidney was infected when he left for Canada, he isn’t impressed—she still hid how bad her situation was in general. He makes her promise not to do that again. Then there’s another blow: her infection isn’t clearing up. They’re putting her at the top of the transplant list.
There is some good news in Jordan’s world, though. After pressing a little, she and Laura (who’d stopped in to see her) learn about the bumper sticker lead on the drug store robbery. He’s been looking into an online group for 1994 graduates at that school. Between the three of them, they narrow the 100 plus students down to 23, as Laura points out the person involved would need to be single. Jordan insists on him leaving in the morning to check this out.
General Hospital Spoilers: Sticking it out
As mentioned before, Robert extended to poor, allegedly-jilted Laura since he’s planning to stick around town for a bit. Why? Because, despite Anna’s certainty she’s Robin Scorpio-Drake’s (Kimberly McCullough) mother after all, he knows the false memory is still nagging at her. He’s going to help her figure things out.
Meanwhile, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is still pondering a proposal to Anna. He may finally be getting close, as he seems encouraged by Anna saying she wants to focus on the good (and the now).
Also today… Maxie Jones (Kristin Storms) talks to Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) about her troubles with Peter August (Wes Ramsey), who she feels pulls away more the closer they get.
