Darcey has finally decided to meet up with Georgi Rusev after her therapy session and getting her groove back. She said that unlike her exes, that Georgi was romantic and he was the one that planned their date, she didn’t even know what they were doing.
So when he texted her a random address in New York that ended on a street corner I got a little worried for Darcey and wondered just what kind of date Georgi was expecting, or if he’d even show up.
After all, if he were going to be really petty about her cancelling beforehand he could have just texted her a random address in NYC and not shown up and for a second that’s exactly what I was expecting, but nope. He showed! Much to Darcey’s delight and my relief for the poor girl. She’s been through enough.
Darcey and Stacey Silva: Darcey’s date with Georgi
Georgi introduced himself as being originally from Bulgaria, from a town that shares a border with Greece. They are famous for their huge crop of roses, which is honestly the most romantic thing I think I’ve ever heard. There were some adorable pictures of Georgi as a child in his confessional as well.
Awww! He decided to come to the US because he had heard so much about it. He has been in the US for 8 years, and he works as a lifeguard, he says he has saved a couple of kids from drowning. Also he bears a resemblance to Kit Harington which doesn’t hurt things either. (Don’t know how big of a Game of Thrones fan Darcey was, but, Jon Snow did end up with a blonde in the end, just sayin’.)
He says when he first came here he had no money so he worked as a model in Washington D.C. but that D.C. didn’t offer very many modeling jobs. (No kidding buddy, I’m amazed you found any in D.C.!) That is why he began work as a massage therapist.
That’s when things get a little suspicious for me, he says that money comes and goes but as long as you have a girlfriend they support you no matter what.
I hope he just means emotional support because that statement could be taken the wrong way, and people could secretly start thinking that Georgi is a kept man. I mean, it’s not exactly something that I would put past Darcey at this point, and certainly it wouldn’t be the only time that something like this has happened with a younger man/older woman relationship.
It’s just the way he spoke of it raised a few questions, would Darcey literally pay a guy to be with her? I would hope that she would have more self-respect than that, and if she does indeed do that then she needs more therapy sessions to work through that issue, but we’ll pretend that I’m misinterpreting this – for now.
He says that he and Darcey originally met on social media a couple of months ago and while he thinks that Darcey is absolutely beautiful, he says that he wants someone that he can actually have a relationship with.
That’s admirable, let’s keep going in that vein and leave all the troubling sugar baby-esque nonsense behind. He brought her Bulgarian roses, which indeed were the biggest roses I had ever seen.
Darcey, so far seems to be loving the fact that Georgi is taking the lead on this date and treating her like a gentleman. She says Jesse and Tom would definitely not have done this – oooh girl, the shade!! But this is just the first date, we’ll see how this relationship goes. Stay tuned!!!
