‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Miracle Needed, Reality Sets In As Oscar’s 6 Weeks At Best Prognosis Rocks Port Charles Foundation To the Core
Since someone just made a miraculous recovery at the NBC counterpart, some of the Soap Gods’ magic is definitely needed in Port Charles after the latest tests are in for Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt). Seems his prognosis has gotten much worse. As in, he has six weeks left if he’s lucky. Oscar is visibly shaken, and asks to be alone with Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) a minute. They have a very sweet moment that almost sounds like he’s saying good bye, so we’re getting a very bad feeling. Come on, writers, #SaveOscar.

Reality Check
Ava has shown up at the Corinthos home looking for her daughter, and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is clearly not happy about it. After she’s let in, Ava starts making a racket as she calls for her daughter. Carly calls her out for being complete wasted, and says if Avery was there, Ava wouldn’t have even been let inside. It’s the last thing a little kid needs to see. She gives Ava an earful about her behavior and needing to get it together for her kid. And we’re feeling the need to point out again that this whole mess is not avoiding stress. Maybe it’s time they break the news to the whole town. Carly was bad enough going after Not-Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) for answers, she doesn’t need half the town running to her with problems and cries for help. Eventually, Carly manages to convince Ava to call for a ride home. Before Ava leaves, Carly promises that she won’t use what happened tonight just to hurt Ava, but she will make an issue of it if needed to protect Avery.
The planning continues
Speaking of stress at the worst time, Sonny is still locked up and in danger of being killed. Dante and Sonny talk a little about what Dante’s been through since being here. He’s wondering if he can even get back to his old, normal life again after what he’s seen. Sonny’s encouraging and is determined they’ll both get out of there and go back where they belong. He also breaks the news that another Corinthos is on the way. This seems to help in adding that extra motivation to pull off an escape.
No love here
The amusing interactions between Anna and her evil half, Alex Marick continue. We low-key think that Alex might be getting just a little bit of amusement out of having something Anna wants so desperately. Anna keeps pressing her, but Alex isn’t talking. To do so, she wants not only her sight back, but she wants her freedom as well. Anna agrees to make it happen, but Alex is still hesitating. Anna wonders why and keeps pushing. Seems she’s got enough regrets of her own, she doesn’t want to be carrying her sister’s around as well. Will Alex ever finally spill the beans? We’ll have to wait and see.

Also today…
Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is still struggling with whether or not to let Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) back in their home. She feels like she might be selfish to do so, because this scheme Franco ended up in has blown back on the kids. Not only that, but she fears his past is always going to throw blame his way any time something bad happens in town and cause even more problems for the kids. Drew Cain (Billy Miller) comes along and they talk about it. He says her instincts were right about Franco, and he was put into an impossible situation. Later on, Elizabeth decides to give things another try. Not only does she not want to let go of Franco, but she doesn’t want to hurt her two youngest, who look at him as a father figure by banishing him from their lives.
Meanwhile, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) is pouring his heart out to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Oscar about the Franco situation. She thinks that all he can do is be there for his brothers, because his mom’s love life isn’t something he can decide. He leaves to deliver a gift to Franco from his brothers. Cameron tells him that he hates that he lied, and he’s worried about the effect on his mom and brothers. He does, however, agree not to get in Franco’s way with Elizbeth. Franco promises that he meant it about proving himself to them all.
