British Royal Family News says Prince Harry pledges to tackle institutional racism, while also calling it an epidemic in a new clip posted on his mother Princess Diana’s birthday. Here’s what he has to say.

In a message posted to the Diana Award Instagram account, Prince Harry began his post by saying, “Institutional racism has no place in our societies. Yet it is still endemic. I want you to know that we are committed to being part of the solution and to being part of the change that you are leading.” The Duke of Sussex also said he was “sorry that we haven’t got the world to a place you deserve it to be” and that, “unconscious bias must be acknowledged without blame to create a better world.”

Prince Harry’s comments were made in response to the Black Lives Matter movement that has swept the nation and the world following George Floyd’s death. His message also marked Princess Diana’s birthday. The Princess of Wales, who died in a tragic car accident back in 1997, would have been 59 today. Harry added that his mother “never took the easy route, she never took the popular one or the comfortable one. But she stood for something. And she stood up for people who needed it.”

Meanwhile, reports say that both Meghan and Prince Harry are looking to get more involved in the issue of racial equality with Meghan wanting to position herself at the forefront of the movement that is currently sweeping the nation. Here’s what you need to know.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight in a new interview, “She believes that there is an expectation on her to address what’s going on and to [show] support. And that is what they’re doing. They’re speaking to community leaders from a number of different organizations and charities. I’m told this is something they want to keep private at the moment while they work out what they can do and how they can help.”
