BBC ‘EastEnders’ spoilers say that the cast and crew of the popular BBC primetime soap are finally back at work! In fact, new teaser photos show actors Danny Dyer and Kelly Bright filming a new scene while also keeping six feet apart at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Herfordshire.
Executive producer Jon Sen said that when the show does eventually return with new episodes later in 2020, it will air four 20-minute episodes per week. Right now, there are only two episodes per week along with a behind-the-scenes show called Secrets From The Square. The show’s return date, however, has not been announced.

According to The Sun, Sen said: “Resuming production is incredibly exciting and challenging in equal measure. Since we postponed filming we’ve been working non-stop trialing techniques, filming methods and new ways of working so that we can return to screens four times a week – as Eastenders should be.”
He added, “Filming will inevitably be a more complex process now so creating 20 minute episodes will enable us to ensure that when we return, EastEnders will still be the show the audience know and love.”
So far the four major American soaps: The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital have made no comments as far as when they plan on bringing their cast and crew back to the studio. However, B&B actress Katherine Kelly Lang did mention during an Instagram Live interview that the cast and crew are on target to come back this week, but only if everyone has tested negative for Covid-19. We will definitely update you with all of the latest information once it comes in.
