ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal there was more Nurses’ Ball fun on Tuesday. This was actually a weird one for us, given a recent article we wrote. In the second part of the 2014 event, we saw a creepy wedding moment as well as more fun moments. Here’s what you need to know.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: First things first
So, let’s talk Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) again. We already spoke of the situation with him and Laura Webber (Genie Francis) recently. And they also recently aired a flashback episode showing how Luke accidentally killed his own mother. Apparently, there’s a lot more darkness and weird to this character than we ever knew, and it’s interesting to us how they’ve had all these episodes airing so close together, and close to the Story of Soaps that also explored the strange beginnings of one of the biggest Super Couples ever.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Part 2 of the 2014 Nurses Ball reveals patterns
In the second part of the 2014 Gala, we see Luke ready to marry Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). It was a sort of pushy move, suggesting in front of everyone they get married right then and there. But considering she’d already been engaged to him a while, it didn’t bother us as much as it would have had he been proposing. But while the vows were happening, Luke was lusting after almost every woman in sight, and Kiki Jerome (Kristen Alderson) later talks about what Luke did to her. While it’s not anywhere near what he did to Laura, we find it creepy that he was coming on to her. More reading claimed he was actually an imposter, but then later the page says he was the actual Luke. We’re not sure what to make of that, or him apparently being involved with the Jerome crime family. But the other part of this is interesting when you consider what is still pending in current Port Charles.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Take over
It seems that the more things change, the more things stay the same. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is planning to take the reins of ELQ from Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is making a play for the company himself by quietly buying up stock.
Back in 2014, it was Luke that was apparently marrying Tracy to get control of ELQ. Even better, Ned and Michael were once a team in a coup of the company themselves, as they didn’t want Luke getting control. They put a plan in motion during the ball, and from what we read, it looks like it resulted in Tracy losing her position and Michael being voted in. This company is rough, man. Makes you wonder why Michael even wants to stay on board.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Highlights
As for the rest of the episode, we still can’t get enough of the non-response to everyone about Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) performance. And Wally Kurth singing a Meatloaf song onstage was something to see. And the setup of the performance was great. But, we have to give the funniest moment nod to Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) shocked reaction to her mother crashing the performance. It makes us miss her, on both GH and ‘Days of Our Lives’.
