Lifetime ‘Married at First Sight’ spoilers finds that with pretty much the entire world on lock down, there have been many celebrities that have gotten back lash for their lax attitudes on the Coronavirus. One of these is Jamie Otis from Married at First Sight. She has gotten a lot of feedback on her recent travels and her attitude about the virus. We have the inside story on what happened and what fans have said to her.

Lifetime ‘Married at First Sight’ Spoilers: Jamie Apologizes for Her Beliefs about Virus

If you have been following Jamie, you know that she is currently pregnant with her second child. She is married to Doug Hehner and they have a daughter, Grace, who is two years old. They recently flew to Sarasota, Florida. Jamie told fans that she thought the corona virus was completely blown out of proportion and that’s why they were traveling at the time. She told fans, “I’m not one to panic over viruses. I’ve been hoping the expectations for the corona virus spreading would be like the weather predictions… ya know, when they predict some ginormous nor’easter storm and it turns out to be a little windy and maybe a couple inches of snow.”

This year we didn’t do anything to celebrate our anniversary bc we are in self quarantine. We didn’t exchange gifts or have anything special planned. It kinda just snuck up on us. • And honestly, it was kind of depressing to let the day go by and not do anything to recognize it. When we went to bed that night I told Doug I wish we had done *something* to celebrate our anniversary. I don’t need fancy gifts or extravagant dates but I mean, we didn’t even eat dinner as a family. To be honest, we barely even kissed all day.??‍♀️ • Sooo you can imagine how shocked I was last night after we put Gracie to bed when Doug told me to “get dressed up for a date!” • I just melt when he does things like this. He’s always thinking outside the box.? • Not gonna lie, it was the first time I brushed my hair and put some lipstick on in a couple days. It felt so good to get dressed up with no where to go…And dance in our bare feet right in our kitchen.☺️ • We’re on day 3 of quarantine now after flying back home and so far NO SYMPTOMS for any of us!?? So thankful for that!!!? We’re staying tucked away for another 11 days just in case though.?? Hope you’re staying SANE inside..? So far, so good for us!? • #mafs #marriedatfirstsight #quaratineandchill #selfquarantine #happyanniversary #marriedlife #husbandandwife #anniversarydate #covid19 #coronavirus

Lifetime ‘Married at First Sight’ Spoilers: Jamie’s Apology

Jamie wrote that on Instagram on March 15, but when things started to get worse, her family had to get home as soon as possible. When they boarded their flight, it was almost empty and they flew back to New Jersey on March 23. Just a few days after her initial post, she wrote one more and this time seemed to be more nervous about it. “We’re gonna get gloves and masks-even if the rest of the world thinks I’m crazy, it does make me feel better to at least try to protect ourselves. And if nothing else, we could be carriers right now and not know it so at least we aren’t SPREADING it. When we get home, we are self quarantining for a FULL 14 days just in case. We finally have a SOLID PLAN!”

Yes, she did post these things as they were leaving from their vacation earlier than they wanted, but her followers still gave her some back lash. Many told her that she should be ashamed for what she said about the virus as a weather prediction. She then apologized for what she posted. “I wish we went home a couple of weeks ago, but we didn’t realize how serious this corona virus is. I’m not one who can’t admit when I’m wrong, I believes that those who can recognize their faults, apologize, and take action to change are good people. I try not to live in fear. I really believed if I just kept a safe distance and sanitized myself, my family, and everything we touched, we’d be fine going out and living as normal as possible.

During the last few weeks we obvs went to the beach. We went to the pool. We took Gracie to the playground, but made sure to wash our hands really well after. All along I was risking our family and others without even realizing it. I assumed this whole covid 19 thing would kinda blow over like the seasonal flu, but it’s A LOT more serious than I ever could have imagined.” Fans of the show and of Jamie are happy that she is now isolating themselves, but it is scary to know that she didn’t take it seriously at all at first.
