TLC ‘Dragnificent’ spoilers admit that recently, I tuned in to a new TLC show called ‘Dragnificent’. A show which I was especially excited about because it showcased Drag Queens helping women plan their weddings. I must admit, I’m not personally too big on wedding shows. I don’t like them and I don’t make a habit of watching them. I think my Mom and I once had a “Say Yes to the Dress” marathon one time when literally nothing else was on any other cable channel and we were both bored to tears from it all. No shade to that show or those who like it, it just wasn’t our thing! But this is a unique spin on things and I thought I would give it a chance.
TLC ‘Dragnificent’ Spoilers: I Was Not Disappointed
This is like, Queer Eye, wedding planner edition, but better! I love this show! All of the personalities on it, Alexis Michelle, Bebe Zahara Benet, JujuBee and Thorgy Thor are all incredibly entertaining. And the self-confidence these gals have is absolutely inspiring! JujuBee reminded us in this first episode that fashion is for everybody, and for everybody, meaning, there is no reason you should not look good just because of your body shape. For a bride who’s self-image was bothering her because she had the wrong dress, that’s very freeing to hear.

TLC ‘Dragnificent’ Spoilers: Mad Respect
Thorgy Thor, was in charge of the music and entertainment portion of the wedding. Thorgy herself is a classically trained violinist. It looked like she was going to face a challenge when she had to consult with Emily’s Dad for the first time on what the entertainment should be. As it turns out he was a very conservative minister and he wanted things to remain respectful of his beliefs for his daughter’s wedding, and that included Thorgy meeting him while not in drag. They joked that it was because Thorgy’s beauty was just too ‘intimidating’ otherwise, but I think we all know what that was really code word for.
TLC ‘Dragnificent’ Spoilers: Maybe Teaching The World To Sing Isn’t Such A Bad Idea After All
I must admit I did not have very high hopes for this meeting at all, fully expecting someone to storm off and do a camera confessional stating how they had never been so offended in their entire lives. But it looks like music does indeed soothe the savage beast of potential intolerance. Once Dad realized that Thorgy was a musician as well and none of her, shall we say, extracurricular activities, was going to get in the way of this wedding, then he was really cool with it and they did a fine little musical number accompanying each other on violin and piano respectively. It was positively heartwarming!
TLC ‘Dragnificent’ Spoilers: The Big Day
The wedding day looked awesome. The dress, instead of being a scoop-neck, sleeveless, sweetheart deal which wasn’t flattering at all, now had lovely cap-sleeves. Everything looked pretty traditional except for the final ‘performance’, which was, of course, a show put on by your four Queens in which they do what Drag Queens do best, lip-sync!!! It was an exciting number however and all of them were dressed to the nines. So if you want a show that embraces self-confidence, body positivity, and the LGBT community – then stay tuned!!! I can’t wait for next week, can you?
