NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers indicate there might be some more flaws showing in the Time Jump. We loved the concept, and it’s been pretty good so far. But recent developments with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) have felt a bit off to us. And on Tuesday, March 3rd, we saw another potential hole in things. Here’s what you need to know.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Misguided
We covered how Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) did a couple of horrible things for good reasons. In a way, their attempts were a kindness, as misguided as it was. They wanted to protect Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) from the horrifying truth. But things are falling apart now. And, to be honest, the writers might be dropping the ball here.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Plot Twist
In the Tuesday episode, we saw the return of Dr. Raynor (Victoria Platt). She ran into Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) in town. It was an awkward encounter, to say the least. And it’s one that has Kristen wondering. As the episode developed, we started to see a major flaw in what was being presented. So, what was it?
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Oversight?
This doctor who once helped switch a couple of babies is now part of the team saving little Mickey’s life. Worse yet, Xander ran into her as well. Through these encounters, we saw flashbacks of what happened. Xander had offered her big money to look the other way, and disappear. When she hesitated to go along, Xander resorted to threats. And he was very clear—she disappears. Right away. Except she didn’t.
The way they’re setting things up, it looks like she never left town as instructed. We find this a huge issue. Again, Xander was very clear in what was to happen. We have a hard time believing that Xander and Victor wouldn’t have checked up on things to make sure she left as told—and that she stayed gone. And with her working at a hospital they’re frequenting of late, we can’t see how Xander and Victor wouldn’t have already found this out. Her silence is a key point here, and we don’t see them taking any chances on that loose end coming back to bite them. So, what gives?
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Our Take
As good as the Time Jump has been, for the most part, we think we’re starting to see a difficulty in long-term follow-up. It feels like they dragged certain things on too long, and now they’re trying to rush to be done with most of the main plot points. We can almost see why.
In Freddie Smith’s podcast about their firing and the follow-up, both seemed to stress how things are more year-to-year now, with this one being the longest wait yet. We wonder if the writers started having concerns and decided to try and get their biggest stories resolved before the episodes they were already committed to run out. If so, we commend them wanting to give closure, but we wonder if there might have been a way to do this without adding in some of the more questionable bits. We’ll see how things play out over the coming months.
