We watched as Trina got the horrible news her dad succumbed to complications from his gunshot wound, one he got trying to rescue her. This was devastating to Trina, but she wasn’t alone. Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and family offered their love and support to get her through the situation. She even said Trina would go home with them until they could get in touch with her mother. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate Cameron Webber (William Lipton) was especially affected by the situation as it relates to Trina. She was such a good friend to him through the Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) mess, he wants to make sure he’s just as good a friend to her now. But is there another reason she might need a friend?

Fans online are theorizing Taggert didn’t really die. In a bit we missed due to local station interruptions, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) met with Taggert at the hospital and they reportedly agreed to work together. Fans think this “death” was the beginning of that. They believe Sonny arranged this whole situation to help protect Taggert. It makes sense. The move would allow them to plan things out carefully so Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) goes down. It also puts Trina out of the guy’s sights, because he would have no reason to target her if Marcus isn’t around to threaten. But, what effect might this have on Trina?

As we mentioned, Trina didn’t take his death well. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate she lost it when she heard the news, and she could possibly be harboring a bit of guilt. What kid wouldn’t after their father was shot protecting her? And when she left just before he took his last breath? We think that Trina’s initial reaction to Taggert’s living status, should this be the case, will be bad.
Trina seems like a together kid, and she has confidence to spare. But even a kid as strong as her has a breaking point, and this might be it. Who knows how long she’ll have to live with thinking her dad’s dead? Learning he lied to her might be more than she can take. Even though it was done with the best of intentions, a kid’s not always going to be mature enough to get over something like that fast. If Taggert does turn out to be alive, expect the next arc to be repairing the damage he left behind with this move.
