When we first saw the character, she seemed almost disdainful of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) and even a bit arrogant. Her brief interactions with him early on bore fruit, though. She eventually agreed to claim Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) as her grandson she sent to live with the Corinthos’. But since then, she’s made a few interesting choices. Here’s what you need to know.

That’s never good when the subject is an alleged mob boss’ business. She did somewhat redeem herself when she stopped that habit, but she also got a little too cozy.

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was not a huge fan of her being around from the beginning. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate they’d committed immigration fraud by helping Dev and having someone else connected to it around a lot is not a good thing. To make things worse, she made herself a bit too at home in the Corinthos house and even used Mike Corbin (Max Gail) as a way to keep hanging around. This got Sonny to get her a car so she can travel back and forth in style, but she just made a huge mistake. One that has her looking terrified.

Recently, we learned Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was very much alive. This came out during the attack on Sonny’s coffee warehouse. Brando happened to show up in time to save Carly, and this did not sit well with Sonny. Yes, he’s grateful Carly is safe, but he’s also mad. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate he confronted Gladys about her lie. She apologized and explained their situation is complicated and she’s just been used to telling people he’s gone. That was not good enough for Sonny, and he made that crystal clear. The look on Gladys’ face during this conversation was priceless.
First off, it’s about time we saw her not being pushy or entitled. Secondly, it seemed she truly understood what she’s gotten herself into for the first time. We expect Gladys to watch her step going forward, as she should. Sonny can be a decent enough guy at times, but he’s also some you don’t cross. It’s just safer that way. She just better hope it’s not too late. With another player involved, she’s risked exposing the lie.
