‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) should finally move on from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) once and for all.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sally Has Compared Billy to Her Father, Who Was Also a Gambler
Sally has been in a pattern of walking out on Billy for months because of his vendetta against the Newmans and his risky behavior.
She’s even compared Billy to her own father. When Sally was a child, her dad had promised her a sewing machine for Christmas to help her fulfill her dream of being a fashion designer.
However, when Christmas came, there was no sewing machine, and her father had picked up and left her. Like Billy, he was a serial gambler who always put his obsessions before his family.
The parallels between Sally’s father and Billy are evident. Billy had promised Sally he was done with his obsession with Chancellor and his thirst for revenge, and they had planned to focus on Abbott Communications together.

However, the second Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) approached Billy with an offer to run Chancellor, and Billy jumped at the chance. He left Sally high and dry.
Sure, he gave her Newman Media, but Sally admitted to Billy that he was enough for her. She was as disappointed in him as she had been with her father on Christmas morning.
Sally loves Billy, but she can’t trust him to make good decisions. Now that Sally and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) have united to run Spectra-Charles, it would be much wiser for Sally to concentrate on her career.

Sally has spent months trying to fix a broken situation, and Billy has only behaved impulsively and sidelined Sally’s needs.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sally Risks Losing Her Company If She Goes Back to Billy
If she decides to go back to Billy, which she looks likely to do, she risks losing her company. Not to mention, Billy breaking her heart once again.
Billy’s selfish desire to chase the prize has put his relationship with Sally in serious jeopardy. He only thinks of himself and never considers Sally’s needs.
Billy thinks he’s got everything under control, but what happens when Cane turns over ownership of Chancellor back to Victor Newman (Eric Braden)?

Victor will obviously hand the company back over to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Then what will Billy do? The Mustache will also inevitably reclaim control of Newman Media and squash Sally’s dreams again.
Victor doesn’t much care for Sally, and he especially doesn’t care for Audra. We definitely don’t see Victor making a deal with these two women to run their own company, let alone give them a position at his.
Billy’s deal with Cane is on borrowed time. All Y&R fans know that Victor always comes out on top. Once Victor reclaims control of his mighty empire, Billy and Sally will be left in the dust.
Billy could have focused his energy on working with Sally to make Abbott Communications a success. Instead, he’s offered Sally a consolation prize, and it won’t last.
Billy’s careless decisions and false promises will do nothing but drag Sally down. Sally is definitely one of the show’s more likable characters, and it would be wonderful to see her win for a change.
