‘General Hospital’ spoilers pose the question: How will Steve Burton exit from the show for his scheduled hiatus?
Our money is on Jason Morgan trying to rescue either Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) or Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Is Desperate to Save Britt
Jason had offered to help Britt by copying the formula for her Huntington’s medication so she could have it free and clear of Director Ross Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) control.
That is, if she even has Huntington’s to begin with. Some viewers are speculating that Britt’s Huntington’s test was tampered with to show that she had the marker for the disease.
These men could have wanted Britt to believe she’s sick to have leverage over her. That way, they could coerce her into doing this shady research for Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) cold fusion project.
Blackmailing her into doing their dirty work would be a lot easier if they had something she wanted. Britt believes her life literally depends on doing this research.
That said, Jason promised Britt he would help her get out of this situation, but she’s hesitant, and with good reason.
Britt thinks that Cullum is dangerous enough that he would kill Jason if she continued to date him, which is why she pushed him away for so long.
We know that Sidwell is capable of killing him, given that he murdered Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) in cold blood right in front of her.
It stands to reason that Cullum or Sidwell would kill Jason and/or Britt in a heartbeat if they thought she was planning to regain her freedom and that Jason was involved.
It’s possible that either one of these men could kidnap Jason and make Britt believe they killed him, but he’s secretly being held hostage somewhere.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Anna Believes Faison Is Alive and Everyone In Port Charles Is In Danger
It would certainly explain his extended absence. Another scenario in which Jason would be MIA is if he goes off to rescue Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
We know Anna is in danger. Anna is a stable, responsible person who has been tortured and gaslighted. Everyone believes that Anna has suffered a mental breakdown.
However, it’s like Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) said, two of Faison’s children showing up in Port Charles after being presumed dead can’t be a coincidence. Anna firmly believes that Faison is alive.
She may be right, and everyone is making a huge mistake by not believing her. Additionally, how many people have come back from the dead and are among the living in Port Charles?
Since this is a soap, Anna is likely correct. Anna wants Jason to search for Faison. He may be the only one who can help Anna, but right now, he also thinks she’s lost it.
If he goes off to France to see Anna at that mental health clinic, he may get the sense that she’s not kidding and want to uncover the truth himself.
Plus, if Faison really is alive and this cold fusion project is set into motion, literally everyone in Port Charles could be in danger, especially with Cullum and Sidwell steering the ship. Jason may go off to save the world, and could get hurt or shot, and be presumed dead again.
