‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that on Thursday, February 19th, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will turn to Daniel Romalotti (Michael Grazadei) for shocking revenge on Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford).
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Phyllis and Billy Teamed up to Double Cross Cane and Destroy Victor
Phyllis decided that power was more important to her than family, and she went against Cane’s wishes to steal the Newman empire from under Victor Newman (Eric Braden).
Phyllis and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) teamed up to make sure Cane would be incapacitated while the Newman family was distracted.
So, Phyllis chloroformed Cane while Billy showed up at the Newman Ranch and delivered a major whopper, which they were rightfully suspicious of.
Billy warned Victor that Cane had planned to double-cross him and cut him out of the Chancellor deal, so his giving Victor a heads-up was his payback. No one believed him.
Meanwhile, Phyllis was signing over control of Newman to herself, and in exchange for Billy’s help, she would give him Chancellor.
Cane is now furious with Phyllis, especially since he really thinks the lives of Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and their kids, Matty and Charlie, are in danger. Victor had kidnapped them.
Phyllis tried to explain to Cane that Victor was only bluffing, but he told her it wasn’t worth the risk. He doesn’t want to take any chances with his family.
Cane had a massive surprise when he awakened and realized that Phyllis had double-crossed him. On Thursday, Cane will seek out Daniel and ask him for help.
We have to wonder what Cane has in mind for Phyllis. After all, this is Phyllis’s son. Daniel had nothing to do with the takeover, but his sister, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), is loyal to her father, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Daniel May Feel Cane Started This Mess and Refuse to Help Him
Nick knew immediately that once Phyllis made this move, she would alienate Summer from her for good. Nick knows his “super girl.”
However, Daniel may feel that this whole mess started because of Cane. After all, it was his AI program that he had planned to use to take out all the companies in Genoa City.
He may also think that Cane’s AI-fueled Phyllis’s thirst for power. Not to mention, Daniel has a lot going on in his life since he’s trying to support Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) with this whole mess with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
On the other hand, Daniel may feel that Phyllis has gone too far this time, and she needs to learn her lesson. He may decide to help Cane for that reason.
Cane may have Daniel turn the tables on Phyllis and distract her into surrendering her newfound control over Newman Enterprises.
Plus, Daniel still cares about Lily and her kids. He may be willing to use them to motivate himself to trick his mom into submission. Either way, Cane will hold Phyllis accountable for her reckless, selfish actions.
Regardless, all Cane cares about now is saving his ex-wife and kids from Victor’s clutches. He’s going to go to great lengths to make that happen.
