The New Archbishop Confirmed Her Place at St. Paul’s Cathedral Last Week
Yesterday evening, King Charles hosted a private dinner for Prince Rahim, the Aga Khan, at Windsor Castle. To commemorate the first anniversary of his accession.
The royal couple met with the spiritual leaders in London. Dame Sarah Mullally is the first woman to hold the role of head of the Church of England in its 1,400-year history.
The new Archbishop confirmed her place at St. Paul’s Cathedral last week. Princess Catherine unexpectedly joined William at Lambeth Palace today.
Kate and William visited the new Archbishop at her home. The meeting was significant for Catherine and William, as they represent the Church of England’s future.

Prince William Will Stand in for the King at the Historic Ceremony on March 25th
The Prince of Wales will stand in for the King at the historic ceremony where the first female Archbishop will be enthroned at Canterbury Cathedral on March 25th. After the ceremony, she will begin preaching.
According to the Daily Mail, Dame Sarah fulfilled a vacancy left by Justin Welby, who was forced to resign over his handling of a child sex abuse scandal.
Of course, while visiting Dame Sarah at her house, the Princess took note of how beautiful Dame Sarah’s garden outside her house is. Kate is a huge advocate of spending time outdoors.
She has said on countless occasions how much the outdoors and nature supported her recovery from cancer. The natural world has a way of putting the focus on what really matters.
Kate was impressed by the potential of these spaces for quiet reflection and relaxation. The Princess has also become more involved in her faith since her 2024 diagnosis.
Kate Middleton has been in remission since January last year. She has been very open about her recovery and has helped millions of people suffering from the disease.
Yesterday, Kate Middleton and King Charles released videos and a personal message for World Cancer Day.
Today, the Princess stunned in a chocolate-brown Edeline Lee mini dress and accessorized with her engraved Gold Keeper’s Heart Trace necklace. The piece of jewelry has a special handwritten message, but it hasn’t been reported what it says.
King Charles is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England
At the visit, Dame Sarah was supported by several key spiritual figures. In a statement, Dame Sarah said that she was
“Committed to bringing a compassionate voice to my role as an advocate for equity, justice, and hope.”
She added,
“I will draw on my faith and my practical and pastoral experience as a nurse and priest, to help scrutinize and finesse legislation that improves the lives of all those who live and work in our country, of all faiths and none.”
Right now, King Charles is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England. It is a tradition that dates back to the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.
It is uncertain whether William will carry on the 500- year tradition of being the Supreme Governor of the Church of England ahead of becoming King.
Dame Sarsh said,
“I shared with the King that I hope to be the shepherd, to care for the people in their parishes for our clergy, to support them, to enable them, to do what they can do, but also to speak of the Christian hope, not just within the church and the Anglican Communion, but also into the world and providing hospitality at a time where there’s lots of challenges for people.”
