‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Allison Lanier Left the Role of Summer in Early May
Allison Lanier left the role of Summer Newman in early May this year. The part was never recast, and we assume Lanier may be available for impromptu visits.
On Thursday, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will contact his ex-wife, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), who’s currently working in Italy.
We suspect Kyle will ask Summer for help on the Jabot front. Marchetti falls under the Jabot umbrella, and she has the right to know what’s going on, as it could affect her company.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) shut down Jabot, and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has taken great advantage of the Abbott family’s distress under Victor Newman’s (Eric Braden) orders.
Adam has turned the shutdown into a media nightmare for the Abbotts. Kyle’s phone call to Summer may be an SOS.
Summer likely won’t be too thrilled or shocked that her grandfather attacked Jabot. Kyle may also confide in Summer and share his plans with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
Kyle and Claire are desperate to take down Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). It’s not a wise move, as that kitty cat has claws. Kyle may ask Summer to help them with their Audra scheme.
That said, Kyle may suggest to Summer that Harrison Newman-Abbott (Redding Munsell) may be better off in Italy with Summer for the time being.
A very dangerous and off-the-rails Matt Clark, aka Mitch Bacall (Roger Howarth), is back in Genoa City, and he has a lot of enemies. Kyle wants to protect his son.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Summer Could Bring Harrison to Italy
Harrison is Victor’s great-grandson and could very well be in danger if he stays in town. Matt also has a reason to seek revenge against the Mustache, as he ruined Matt’s business in LA.
Not to mention, Kyle knows that Harrison misses his mom, and a trip to see her could do him a world of good. It’ll be interesting to see why Kyle reaches out to Summer.
Summer is a pivotal character, and her presence on the show was missed when her brother, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), was involved in a serious car accident and almost died. Matt is the one who caused the accident with the intention of killing him.
It was weird that she didn’t show up to visit Noah, and Y&R forgot that Summer would likely want to see him, considering he was stuck in a coma.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) are doing everything in their power to prevent Matt from wreaking havoc on their family.
However, Matt is the type of villain who is difficult to stop. Nick, Sharon, Noah, and all the Newmans want him out of their lives for good. Victor is trying to help them.
We miss Summer on the soap. It would be fun to see her come back, even if it were only for a short visit. After all, Summer is a Newman, and she should really be included in the family drama.
