‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal that a fan recently inspired Cherie Jimenez, who plays Gabi Hernandez, to feel through a scene that she knocked out of the park.

Cherie recently acknowledged that an avid DOOL fan sent her a wedding scene from January 2013 in which Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) halted her wedding to Nick Fallon (Blake Berris).
Jimenez was previously unfamiliar with the material since Camilla Banus was playing Gabi at the time. Gabi had been pretending that Nick was the father of her baby, Arianna Horton (Marissa Reyes).
Will Horton (Chandler Massey) was actually Arianna’s father, which he knew. Before Nick and Gabi had the chance to say their “I do’s,” Chad interrupted and exposed Gabi’s secret.
Jimenez admitted that she had to do some research on the storyline’s history so she could connect with what Gabi was feeling at the time.
The actress explained that she was glad she watched it because it helped her tap into Gabi’s pain in that moment.
Gabi recently shared the emotional story with her daughter, Arianna, a couple of weeks ago. Arianna was judging Sophia for lying about her baby.
Gabi told Ari that she could relate to the pain and horror that Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) felt when her secret about little Trey DiMera (Joseph Ihlenf and Jordan Perdue) was exposed.
She relived the sordid details of the incident when she told Ari. Jimenez demonstrated Gabi’s significant character growth and maturity when Gabi told her daughter she should visit Sophia at Bayview.

Her mother’s words cut Arianna to the core, and because of her mother’s guidance, she decided to offer Sophia some grace, and she went to visit Sophia with Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo).
Gabi had to admit her mistakes and tell her daughter the truth, no matter how ugly. Arianna understood that people can make mistakes, but learning from them is key.
Granted, Sophia doesn’t exactly deserve the grace Arianna afforded her, since she’s actually pretending to be in a catatonic state.
However, Gabi was very sympathetic and couldn’t imagine how hard it must have been for Sophia to give birth alone in her room with no one to help her.
Not to mention, she couldn’t trust her own mother with the truth. Gabi is becoming a much more compassionate person lately.
Cherie Jimenez knocked the performance out of the park, and fans took notice and praised her acting prowess.
One fan was thrilled to comment on Jimenez’s powerful performance,
“Cherie Jimenez was so good showing Gabi’s pain over the circumstances of Ari’s birth and her messy relationship with Nick that you think she played those original scenes. Great work.”
Jimenez responded to the gushing fan and said,
“Thank you so much. DOOL fan sent me the wedding scene where Chad stopped the wedding, and I did a little research on the history of to understand what Gabi was going through.”
Cherie Jimenez beautifully and masterfully played Gabi’s heartbreak, and it was truly an Emmy-worthy performance.
