‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers suggest that secrets don’t stay secret for very long in Salem. Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) is sitting on a major whopper.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Gabi’s Relationship with Philip could Implode
Gabi’s deception could blow up her relationship with Philip Kiriakis (John Paul Laviosier) and her friendship with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).
Fans know that Gabi was secretly plotting with Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), to take the top spot at DiMera against Philip and Xander. She planted a bug in Xander’s office to spy on them.
Gabi found out a juicy secret that Philip and Xander had tried to cover up. Philip forged a letter from Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) claiming that Philip had inherited the family company, Titan.
Xander almost killed Philip after discovering the truth. The two brothers, begrudgingly, buried the hatchet and worked together to protect Titan’s interests. Xander found the bug but never suspected Gabi.
Eventually, Philip and Xander formed a real bond and now have each other’s backs. Gabi took the information to Tony who predictably double-crossed her.
However, she did manage to walk away with control of her fashion brand, Gabi Chic, which is really what she had wanted all along.
Interestingly, Gabi admitted to Theo Carver (Tyler Joesph Andrews) that she stabbed Philip and Xander in the back. Tony offered Theo the position that Tony had promised to Gabi.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Theo and Tony Both Know What Gabi Pulled
Theo rightly surmised that Gabi didn’t want them to learn the truth about her attempt at corporate espionage, since it would ruin her blossoming romance with Philip.
She’s truly come to care for him. Gabi boldly confided in Theo, and he claimed he wouldn’t say a word to Philip or Xander.
However, Tony and Theo are both well aware of Gabi’s deception. It’s only a matter of time before Philip and Xander are somehow made privy to Gabi’s lies.
Now, we adore Gabi, but we feel like she may need to come clean at some point. Perhaps if she’s at least honest with Philip, he’ll forgive her since he’s made his own share of foolish mistakes.
We’re willing to bet, though, that Xander might not be so forgiving. With his anger issues, it could set him off. While he’s still working hard in anger management therapy, he’s only starting to learn how to control himself.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Philip And Xander May Disagree On How To Handle Gabi’s Betrayal
We can also picture Gabi’s betrayal putting a strain on Philip and Xander’s own relationship, which wouldn’t be good for the company. We have to wonder if and when Gabi plans to explain herself.
Gabi likely wouldn’t come clean unless she’s backed into a corner, which is highly probable. Yet, we think it may be worth the risk for her to tell Philip the truth.
Xander has also been good to Gabi. When her daughter, Arianna Horton (Marrisa Reyes), was kidnapped along with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), it was Xander who offered to put up a reward for whoever had taken the girls.
Xander also gave her a warm embrace while Gabi broke down in his arms. Gabi really isn’t heartless. She didn’t exactly enjoy betraying the brothers, but she was led to believe there was a huge pot of gold waiting for her at the end of the rainbow.
Now, we’re just waiting for the inevitable fallout. Will Philip break up with Gabi if he discovers that she’s the reason that he and Xander could have lost their father’s legacy to Tony DiMera?
Or, will Philip, who’s pulled a few downright deceitful tricks of his own, come to forgive Gabi and keep the truth from a potentially volatile Xander? Right now, it’s anybody’s guess.
