‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that while Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting remains a mystery, some fans think he may have set up his own shooting to frame Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: It Would Be in Character for Drew to Frame Michael
It would certainly be on brand for Drew’s character to pull a calculated stunt like that to make Michael look guilty.
We’re also starting to believe that perhaps Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is actually the red herring of the whodunit storyline.
Soaps love to toss a red herring or two into shooting mysteries. After all, Days of Our Lives recently did exactly that with its Who Shot EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) storyline.

In that case, the red herring was EJ’s son, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). The twist was that EJ’s ten-year-old niece, Rachel Black (Alice Halsey), was the true culprit.
But, we digress. In Drew’s case, he may have framed his nephew and archnemesis, Michael, for attempted murder.
There is much speculation that Drew orchestrated the whole situation to finally get Michael out of Willow’s life, so he could point the finger at Michael, have him sent to prison, and have Willow and the kids to himself.
While it sounds far-fetched, anything is possible with Drew involved. Anyone normal would want to find out who shot them, but Drew is so focused on framing Michael that he doesn’t even care. Drew has shown zero interest in identifying the real shooter.
However, he mentioned in the November 26th episode of GH that he believed Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was the one who pulled the trigger.
Additionally, fans know that Michael was at Drew’s house the night he was shot but abruptly left, which is interesting.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jordan Mentioned that Those who Survive Near Death Experiences Often Change for the Better
We wonder if Drew summoned him to the house, and Michael sensed something was up and left.
Michael has also been behaving strangely since the whole incident, with some fans speculating that he even passed the buck to Willow when it looked like the PCPD might suspect him.
Edward Quartermaine’s (John Ingle) gun mysteriously ended up in Willow’s room when she was staying at Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) home.
Since we’re starting to wonder whether Willow didn’t actually commit the crime, we’re wondering whether Michael may have framed her to take the heat off himself and keep Willow away from the kids.
As far as Drew is concerned, we could definitely see him somehow orchestrating his own shooting to put Michael behind bars.
The strongest hint that Drew may have framed Michael came from a comment Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) made.
Jordan suggested that most people who survive near-death experiences tend to change for the better. However, the congressman awakened from his coma as sleazy and nasty as he ever was.
The remark hints that perhaps maybe Drew planned to frame Michael. He cares so little about the actual shooter that it’s almost absurd.
It’s obvious that Drew sees Michael as an obstacle to his happily ever after with Willow and the kids, and while it sounds extreme, Drew may have risked his life to frame Michael and pin the shooting on him.
