‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) may decide to leave Genoa City after witnessing Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) hook up.

Cane and Phyllis appeared awfully cozy when they were walking downstairs after having sex in Phyllis’ hotel room. Lily knew the second she saw them together holding hands that they had crossed the line.
The pair even looked like a happy couple, which may have intensified Lily’s jealousy. No matter what Lily says, she’s still deeply in love with Cane. We could see her attitude toward him shifting.
However, Cane may have blown his chances with Lily once and for all after his hotel rendezvous with Phyllis.
We predict that Lily will leave town in disgust and write off Cane for good. Or at least until Christel Khalil returns from maternity leave.
Yet we know that Cane likely slept with the redhead only to gain access to her laptop. It is evident that he was playing her.
Maybe there is a simmering attraction between them underneath the surface, but it was clear after they hit the sheets that Cane’s main agenda was to try to break into Phyllis’s laptop to find out the truth.
In turn, we have to wonder how Phyllis really feels about Cane, considering that she stole his AI program and marched right over to the Newman ranch to make a dirty deal with Victor Newman (Eric Braden).
It seems like Cane and Phyllis are playing a game of cat and mouse. Despite that, the two of them seem to be enjoying their time together, which Lily clearly saw.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Christel Khalil Will Soon Go On Maternity Leave
Lily will no doubt need a break from all this Cane business, and we suspect she will leave town soon to clear her head after his perceived lies and betrayal.
She has been unwilling to forgive him for his fake persona as Aristotle Dumas. His kids have also lost faith in their father, and Lily blames Cane for most of it.
However, the door may have been open a crack as Cane was starting to convince Lily to give him another chance.
She even defended him against Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) over their expose of Cane and how he and his father, Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers), acquired their fortune.
Lily was starting to feel like maybe she was too hard on Cane and that he was really trying to make amends with her and his kids.
Honestly, Lily has been really rough on Cane and didn’t want to give him the benefit of the doubt. We knew she would have a sudden change of heart at the worst time possible, and that’s precisely what happened.
Lily’s constant disappointment in him may have driven Cane right into Phyllis’s arms. After all, there is only so much rejection someone can take. Cane felt like he needed to finally move on.
Christel Khalil needs a valid reason to take maternity leave, and Cane’s dalliance with Phyllis will soon send her packing.
