‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) may be about to ruin his marriage to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) over Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Michael And Chase Got Into It Over Willow
Today, things (literally) got heated between Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Chase in the steam room. Their debate over Willow’s guilt vs. innocence in Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting was telling.
It seems like Chase may still be a bit hung up on Willow. His misguided sense of duty to protect her may cost him the love of his life, Brook Lynn, and their marriage. We don’t want to see that happen.
Brook Lynn has tried her best to be understanding about Chase’s soft spot for Willow. However, she’s not going to betray her family.
Michael is Brook Lynn’s cousin. She loves him. If it comes down to it, she’s going to be team Michael on this one. Brook Lynn knows firsthand what went down in Michael’s marriage to Willow.
She’s aware that Willow is attracted to men who tend to come to her rescue and play hero. Chase is in dangerous territory right now, since that seems to be exactly what he’s doing.
Chase believes Willow didn’t shoot Drew and is set to prove that Michael framed Willow. The big issue here is that Michael and Chase are part of the same family.
Since Chase is married to Brook Lynn, his loyalty should lie with her and Michael, not the ex-wife who cheated on him.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Chase Could Set Out To Prove Michael Framed Willow
Chase may end up making a move he’ll later regret. While we don’t see him cheating on Brook Lynn with Willow, we can imagine Chase going above and beyond to prove Michael set up Willow.
Brook Lynn wouldn’t be too thrilled about that. That said, Brook Lynn obviously knew that Chase was a cop before they exchanged their “I do’s.”
She accepts his profession and loves him with all her heart. The pair had the best soap wedding of 2024.
Yet, if Michael truly didn’t frame Willow, and Chase goes above and beyond to help Willow, it wouldn’t exactly be a good look for Chase as a husband or a cop.
Plus, since Willow tends to fall in love with men who rescue her, we could see her potentially making a play for Chase, despite his marriage to Brook Lynn.
Michael also feels he must protect his children from Willow. In the October 23rd episode of GH, Michael told Chase about Willow breaking into the Quartermaine mansion and messing with Daisy Gilmore (Brenden and Evelyn Beimford).
Of course, Chase didn’t believe him. After his conversation with Michael, he went to see Willow in prison. Chase pretty much promised her he would make sure she went free.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brook Lynn Has Put Off Adopting A Child With Chase
Another strain on Brook Lynn and Chase’s marriage that hasn’t been mentioned is the fact that Brook Lynn put off adopting a child and starting a family with Chase.
Brook Lynn has been focused on her son, Gio Palmeri (Giovanni Mazza). She’s not going to even entertain the idea of adoption again until her relationship with Gio is in a better place. Brook Lynn desperately wants to connect with her son.
Additionally, Brook Lynn may also be sensitive to Gio’s feeling that she gave him away because she didn’t want him.
She might even rethink the idea of adoption altogether if she feels it would hurt Gio. In Brook Lynn’s mind, her biological child likely needs to come first.
Brook Lynn and Chase need to talk. While Brook Lynn knows Chase still cares about Willow, she has no idea he’s about to put his career on the line for Willow and possibly implicate family. We can see there may be trouble in paradise for this happy couple.
