‘Beyond the Gates’ spoilers confirm that Greg Vaughn, who is best known for his role as Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives, and also played on General Hospital as the third Lucky Spencer, will soon make a move to Beyond the Gates.
‘Beyond the Gates’ Spoilers: Vaughn Is Set To Play A Mystery Character
Don’t worry, DOOL fans, Vaughn is still set to return to Salem as Eric for the Peacock soap’s 60th anniversary. Soap Opera Digest has confirmed Vaughn will start airing on BTG this fall.
As of right now, there are no details about his character. In July, BTG’s creator and showrunner, Michele Val Jean, shared in an interview with TV Insider that the show had “big news coming up on the casting front.”
Val Jean previously worked with Vaughn when he was on GH, and she was part of the soap’s writing team.
BTG actress Trisha-Mann Grant, who plays Leslie Thomas, posted a video on October 3rd to celebrate co-star Clifton Davis (who plays Vernon Dupree) ‘s 80th birthday, and fans recognized the Days veteran.
Vaughn’s first soap role was as the character, Diego Guittierez, on The Young and the Restless. The actor then went to GH to play Lucky from 2003 to 2009.
He then went on to Days to play the pivotal role of Eric from 2012 to 2024, when he left town with his soulmate, Nicole Walker (Arienne Zucker), and their son, Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty), to move to Paris.

The actor returned to Salem this past spring to participate in his late on-screen step-father, John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) funeral.
At the time, Vaughn shared with TV Insider about Hogestyn’s death and on-screen send-off,
“It was a very hard day for everybody, obviously, and bringing Eric back was very sweet, but I wish it was under better circumstances.”
Beyond The Gates Spoilers: Vaughn Is A Fan-Favorite As Eric Brady On DOOL
Vaughn isn’t only a fan-favorite on DOOL, but he also earned a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor. In 2018, he won for his role as Eric Brady and his work on the show.
Vaughn’s character will likely stir up trouble, potentially the good kind. He may be mixed up with firecracker, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley), or possibly get involved in a love triangle with Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphee Duplaix) and Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley).
Prior to making a splash on daytime TV, Vaughn guest-starred on Primetime shows. A couple of them include Beverly Hills, 90210, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Vaughn is set to wow the daytime community on the new, groundbreaking soap, BTG. Fans are already eagerly anticipating his arrival in Fairmont Crest.
Additionally, BTG viewers are excited about the debut of Izaiah Hawthorne (David Liam Friebe), who is Jacob Hawthorne’s (Jibre Hordges) brother.
Val Jean told TV Insider that the second season of BTG would be extra special,
“We just want to keep it moving, keep it interesting, keep it flowing, surprising the audience.”
She continued,
“One of the things that I really wanted to do with the show was not have it look, sound, or be like other shows; I wanted it to be its own experiment and go against the audience’s expectation.”
She added,
“I see a lot of speculation online about where we’re going, and it makes me smile, because a lot of the time, that’s not where they’re going.”
