‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers suggest that just when we were warming up to the idea of Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) together, Cat has us wondering whether she’ll break Chad’s heart again.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ And Cat Were Definitely Flirting
In the September 17th episode of DOOL, Cat went on somewhat of a date with Chad’s brother, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). What we saw between them was definitely flirting.
The pair went to the Bistro, and EJ admitted to her that he bid on her at the hospital auction because he was intrigued by her and wanted to go on a date with her.
That was, of course, before he knew that his brother, Chad, expressed romantic interest in Cat. When Chad confided in EJ and told him he had feelings for Cat, EJ gave Chad the date that EJ had paid such a hefty sum for.
That didn’t stop EJ from making his move today. While some would say it looked like harmless flirtation, from our vantage point, their banter bordered on seductive.
Cat was definitely giving EJ “Betty Davis” bedroom eyes, and he appeared smitten with the blonde bombshell. EJ and Cat have some chemistry, but it’s at Chad’s expense.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ Said He Was “Impressed” By What Cat Did To Chad
Not to mention, EJ told Cat that he was impressed by her pretending to be Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) when she first arrived in Salem.
He said that anyone who could pull that off has his respect. It was a bit disgusting considering EJ’s actions hurt his brother Chad deeply.
Cat impersonated Chad’s dead wife, and once he realized she wasn’t really Abigail, he was heartbroken, shocked, and furious with Cat, and it took a while for him to forgive her and give her another chance. Now, here she is literally flirting with disaster.
We considered the possibility that Cat might be working him to gain information, given her role in the ISA. If so, her behavior was highly convincing. Almost too convincing for our comfort.
She’s supposed to be investigating EJ due to the ISA’s interest in his suspicious purchase of University Hospital. However, it seemed like she was more interested in her date with him.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Were We Wrong To Defend Cat?
We have a feeling Cat is going for round two of hurting Chad, devastating him yet again. We even defended Cat when Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) refused to give Cat a break.
Were we foolish to believe Julie and Jennifer were just being harsh and judgmental? Days spoilers have also hinted that Chad, Cat, and EJ will be involved in a steamy love triangle.
That said, we were enjoying the sweet slow-burn romance between Chad and Cat. Chad has been mourning the loss of his late wife for years.
Chad has finally met someone with whom he connects with. Yet, his brother seems to be making a play for his sort of girlfriend, especially now that it looks like EJ and Belle Black (Martha Madison) seem like they are finally over.
It’s a shame for Chad because he’s obviously the good guy in this situation. While we love us some EJ DiMera, we don’t necessarily want to see EJ steal Cat away from his brother, who’s been patiently waiting for someone like Cat for years.
Plus, Chad warned Cat that while he loves his brother, he doesn’t always have the best of intentions. Truthfully, if Cat doesn’t want Chad anymore, there are plenty of women who would line up around the block for the handsome, kind, blue-eyed DiMera brother.
EJ and Cat’s come-hither repartee didn’t sit right with us, and after today’s episode, we’re dreading the fallout that’s inevitably about to ensue after Chad finds out EJ has the hots for his new lady love.
