General Hospital spoilers suggest that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is likely behind poisoning Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Maxie Suffered A Heart Attack
The Deception crew was on Home & Heart, and everything was going smoothly. Maxie was demonstrating a Deception facial cream when she suddenly collapsed.
One minute she was eagerly chatting it up during the segment, and the next she was having a heart attack. She was rushed to GH, where Lucas Jones (Van Hasis) had to fight to save her life.
This marks the second time poor Lucas has had to perform chest compressions to bring someone he loves back from the brink.
Last fall, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) suffered a heart attack as well after Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) gave her a fatal dose of digitalis.
Lucas tried desperately to save the life of his half-sister, but sadly, she passed away. Cyrus killed Sam after she donated a portion of her liver to save Cyrus’s niece, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning).
Fortunately, this time, Lucas was successful in restarting Maxie’s heart. However, Maxie still hasn’t awakened. She may linger in a coma for months, considering that Kirsten Storms won’t return to the soap until sometime in 2026.
The writers obviously penned a dramatic temporary exit for Storms. The actress recently moved from Los Angeles to Tennessee with her daughter, Harper.
That said, GH fans don’t need to worry. Maxie is, in fact, coming back to the show. Sidwell is the most likely culprit as he poisoned her.
There must have been a toxic substance in the cream Maxie rubbed on her face. Additionally, Maxie received a heart transplant three decades ago from her cousin, B.J. Jones (Brighton Hertford).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sidwell Knows Maxie Wanted To Go To The Police
It’s going to be a long time before Maxie wakes up. Interestingly, GH went this route once again, as Lulu lingered in a coma for four years.
Sidwell recently learned from Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) that Maxie wanted to come clean to the cops about Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) dirty money he invested in the company.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), Lucy, and Maxie took a vote, and out of all of them, Maxie was the only one who wanted to come forward.
Plus, we saw Maxie’s son, James West (Gary James Fuller), at the Metro Court pool telling Sidwell that Maxie’s uncle, Mac Scorpio (John J. York), works with the PCPD.
Sidwell likely wanted to silence Maxie and keep her from reporting the money tied to Sonny. GH spoilers tease that Maxie was intentionally poisoned.
We can’t imagine it’s a coincidence that Sidwell knew about Maxie’s desire to tell the truth when he was clearly against it.
Not to mention, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) was surprised that Sidwell was excited to see the Home & Heart segment.
It was a bit peculiar to us, but it does explain that seemingly insignificant detail. We all know that it’s only a matter of months before Maxie wakes up.
In the meantime, we surmise she’ll fall into a coma the way Lulu did. It’s also not only Maxie’s loved ones who are involved in this storyline. It’s going to be an umbrella story that impacts several characters on the canvas.
