Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has a plan for his girlfriend, Belle Black (Martha Madison), to get Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) off the hook.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Johnny Told EJ He Didn’t Shoot Him
On June 27th, we saw Johnny and EJ start to heal their damaged relationship as Johnny finally explained to his father that he wasn’t the one who shot him.
Viewers could clearly see the relief on EJ’s face. Johnny also softened toward his father when he realized EJ had been trying to protect him, even though he believed he was guilty.
Unfortunately, their reunion was short-lived as Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) showed up and arrested Johnny for attempted murder.
Thanks to Gabi Hernandez’s big mouth, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) found out that Johnny was at the DiMera mansion the night EJ was shot.
Johnny had every intention of shooting EJ, but he changed his mind and left the gun with EJ. Evidently, someone else committed the crime.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Did Rachel Shoot Her Uncle EJ?
In addition to Gabi recalling the memory of hearing EJ and his son arguing, Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) has also confided in her grandma, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), about Johnny’s presence in the mansion that night.
Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) also heard Johnny say that EJ “got what he deserved,” which definitely sounds suspicious.
Rafe was livid with Jada for arresting Johnny. She purported that there was enough evidence to support a legal case against Johnny.
On top of that, Gabi and little Rachel will likely be forced to testify about what they saw and heard that fateful evening.
However, we have suspected all along that Rachel is the true culprit. The theory is that Rachel was upset with her uncle EJ for making her grandmother, Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle), leave Salem, never to return.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Belle Will Soon Receive The Memory Card With Potentially Manipulated Footage
Now, Belle, who is Johnny’s aunt, has been recused from the case. She and Johnny are family, and Belle also happens to be romantically involved with EJ. Belle was warned to stay away from the case.
EJ later met with Belle at Horton Square, and after Belle shared with him that she had been recused of the case, EJ told Belle to “un-recuse herself” and make the charges disappear.
Belle asserted that she couldn’t make that happen. However, EJ would. Belle was frantic after Johnny was arrested, and she’ll no doubt do whatever it takes to help EJ free Johnny.
EJ is a DiMera with considerable power and connections, and he’ll move mountains to prove his son’s innocence.
Back at the Salem PD, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) arrived. He handed over the gun and said he believed it was used to shoot EJ.
We predict that EJ may devise a scheme to get Johnny out of jail sooner rather than later. At some point, Belle will receive an envelope containing the memory card from the night EJ was shot.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: EJ May Manipulate The Footage On The Memory Card
We have to wonder what EJ has planned. Will he manipulate the footage somehow? He could erase the image of Johnny coming into the mansion and threatening him with a gun? Will he point the finger at another suspect?
Perhaps he’ll do something completely unexpected and request that Marlena hypnotize him in the hope that he’ll remember who actually shot him. He could even retrieve memory serum from Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay).
While we aren’t thrilled that Johnny was arrested, we are pleased that the writers knew better than to stupidly allow Belle to prosecute her own nephew.
Once the news of Johnn’s impending arrest was revealed the other day, social media exploded. Fans blasted Days for the glaring and massive conflicts of interest for Belle as the DA prosecuting this case.
As far as this soapy story goes, the writers, Paula Cwilky and Jeanne Marie Ford, promise fans an “epic summer court case.”
