‘General Hospital’ Spoilers are ready for a trip of shoes to drop in their current Big Bad storyline involving Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Drew has had quite the turnaround over the last year since his stint Pentonville.
After throwing himself on his sword for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), he’s now suffering the Curse of Carly.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Drew’s About to Get His Just Desserts
He came out selfish and more ruthless than previously, and anyone who doesn’t agree with him is the enemy.
His weapons are simple: deception and manipulation.
It’s a standard in soaps, and he’s been playing it to a tee.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Setting the stage
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers have had more than a few frustrations with the writers on the show and their lack of consistency and constant rewriting of history.
But one thing they’ve done perfectly is make Drew into a villain we love to hate. His playing on Willow Tait (Katelynn MacMullen)’s desire to belong to a cult is masterful.
She has brief moments where she shows she can think for herself, but she quickly shuts that part of her brain down.
He’s turned her against everyone, but things could be turning against him finally.
As of this writing, the custody case between Willow and Michael Cortinthos (Rory Gibson) isn’t decided, but we expect Michael to win.
This will be the first of several body blows Drew will take that’ll weaken his control over Willow. Not that anyone will care after how she’s acted.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: His crimes come out
Willow losing custody of her children will devastate her, and while he’ll try to comfort her we doubt she’ll be receptive. We think she’ll be numb.
And then the tide will start to turn.
We expect this to be a continued slow burn for another six months at least. So step by step he’ll lose his power.
Next, Willow will find out about his affair with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), This should disgust her, but again, her cult training prepared her for this.
But with the two of these happening, Willow will start to wonder about what all Drew has told her. Like playing off Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver)’s claim of Drew feeding him misinformation.
It was a disgusting move, and it worked as it drove a wedge between Willow and Michael.
It’ll also cause her to look at how Michael talked to Wiley and said he never knew she came to visit him.
When that last tidbit comes out, it’ll put Drew deep in the fire and he’ll try to li his way out of it. And then he’ll admit he did it because of some lie he’ll come up with on the spot.
It may take six months to a year, but it’s going to be fun watching him squirm and get his.
Which soon until Willow starts questioning him? Let us know in the comments below.
