First, General Hospital spoilers reveal it’s GH’s anniversary. To mark the occasion, a special episode will feature a celebration for the fictional hospital’s own anniversary. Whatever they’re planning, we think we know who they’re turning to.
In the promo, Maxie says, “I think I can make that happen.” Sounds like that fits the celebration theme. She’s known for her great event planning, and with the dedication of the Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) Cardiac Care unit, there’s even more reason to get a great event together. We know Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will be there, reflecting on photos of those who’ve gone before her.

So, since we have an anniversary and a dedication going, someone’s gonna have to foot the bill. In the promo, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) discuss a mystery donor that is apparently not a mystery to Laura. At least, Curtis doesn’t think so.
We have our money on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He and Laura had a talk recently where he disclosed his heart condition to her. If he’s aware of the cardiac care unit being constructed (and he likely is), it’d be a no-brainer that he’s going to contribute to the cause. Especially with the GH anniversary and him being a long-time supporter of the hospital.

As for Lucy, she is still hanging with Sidwell, despite the stories. Especially since Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) agreed to his deal and he has minerals Deception desperately needs. This time, she has some kind of surprise or a possible deal in mind for him. In the promo, she claims to have words that will blow Sidwell’s mind. We are almost afraid to ask what she has in store, as it’s Lucy! You never know what she will do.

Finally, let’s talk about Sonny a bit more. He’s back in Port Charles after they confronted the attacker who bombed his penthouse. While Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) might be at odds over her relationship with Jack Brennan (Chris Mckenna), it looks like she isn’t going to have any words with Sonny over it. In the promo, he says, “I would never bet against Carly Spencer.”
