‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Michael Baldwin (Chrisitan LeBlanc) may be the mastermind behind Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) kidnapping.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Michael Knows The History Between Phyllis And Sharon
Hear us out: Michael cares about both Phyllis and Sharon, and whoever set up this so-called “game” knows an awful lot about the decades-long feud between the two women.
Phyllis and Sharon are stuck together in an abandoned mental facility. Could it get any weirder than that? We would argue that, no, it would not.

The two women despise each other. When Michael decided to take on Sharon’s case after Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) was murdered, Phyllis was livid and let him know it.
Sharon may not be guilty of killing poor Heather, but she did set Phyllis’s son up to take the fall when Sharon believed she was the murderer and went as far as to dump Heather’s lifeless body in the river.
We can understand Phyllis’s rage toward Michael for not standing behind Phyllis and her family. However, Sharon was drugged and out of her mind at the time.
Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) were the ones responsible for Heather’s death. Phyllis still can’t comprehend why Sharon isn’t being punished for framing Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).

Michael would love nothing more than for Phyllis and Sharon to settle their differences. The mysterious captor of the two ladies speaks to them through an intercom. They make them try to solve cryptic riddles and vague brain teasers.
The kidnapper doesn’t appear to be violent. There is also no ransom demand and no clearly defined motive behind it.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Sharon Suggested Someone In “Their Family” May Have Set This Up
It’s a puzzling situation that only someone who has no intention of really hurting them but the desire to bring them together would orchestrate. For these reasons, we suspect the person who’s trapped them may be Michael.
It was Sharon who first considered the idea that perhaps it was someone in “their” family who trapped them together in that room.

Sharon suggested it could be Daniel or Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), which Phyllis thought was ridiculous.
The frustrated redhead tried to break a window with a chair, but Sharon stopped her. Sharon reminded her that she could get them both killed.
Michael may believe that forcing Phyllis and Sharon together in this room together will allow them to work out their differences.
Michael may have all the good intentions in the world. He may think he’s doing what’s best for them; however, the police won’t see it that way.

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is investigating this case, and if he finds out Michael kidnapped Phyllis and Sharon, he’ll likely only see Michael as a criminal and arrest him.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Summer, Daniel, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and Chance are currently trying to figure out what happened to Phyllis and Sharon.
Will Michael accomplish his goal before his identity is revealed? Will the two women come to blows before that happens?
The most positive outcome would be if Phyllis and Sharon could come to an understanding. This could help them both heal and find peace.
