Kyle realized he was still in love with Summer and went back to her like he always does. Lola needed a liver transplant, and surprise, surprise, Summer was a match.
Summer was scared to go through with the surgery, and in one of the strangest twists in soap history, Kyle offered to marry Summer in exchange for part of her liver, and Summer agreed.
Kyle and Summer have had several breakups and reconciliations, but they usually end up together because they share a special bond that goes back a long way.
That could work for them or against them, depending on the circumstances. They have grown up together and been through a lot as a couple and as exes.
Some may even see their connection as toxic and want Kyle and Claire to be free to deepen their relationship.
