‘The Young and The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that during the week of February 17th to 21st, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will put Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) loyalty to the test after Victor Newman (Eric Braden) urges her to break up with him.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Claire Wants Victor To Approve Of Her Relationship With Kyle
Claire admits to Kyle how much she wants Victor to see that she and Kyle are good for each other, but Kyle may start to doubt whether he and Claire’s relationship can endure her grandfather’s interference.
Kyle may also get an earful from Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), who will likely convince Kyle that Victor may never accept his romance with Claire.
Meanwhile, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) calls Summer out for being jealous of Claire and Kyle’s blossoming bond. Despite Summer claiming not to have these feelings, she’ll eventually see that her brother has a point.
Sometime this week, Summer realizes that she still loves Kyle and wants to reunite so that she, Kyle, and Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) can be a family again.
Victor and Summer will be significant obstacles in Kyle and Claire’s relationship. Claire told Kyle she won’t let Victor come between them.
However, Summer may persuade Kyle to believe otherwise. Spoilers suggest that Kyle sets up a loyalty test to see which way Claire sways.
Victor told Claire that Kyle’s priority will always be Summer since they have a child together. Claire appreciates the family they share but isn’t willing to give up on Kyle.
However, Victor’s words of warning to Claire about Kyle and Summer continue to stay on her mind. Kyle has always returned to Summer, no matter who’s in the picture with him.

Not to mention, Summer has a habit of saying she’s over Kyle but then changing her mind and deciding to pursue him when she sees Kyle has moved on with someone else. It’s much like what her mother, Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford), does with men.
Kyle and Summer could always rekindle their romance, especially if it means they can bring their little family back on track. They looked cozy, sharing a pizza and working on Harrison’s school project the other day.
Additionally, Harrison may love Claire, but like any child whose parents are divorced, he’d rather have his mom and dad back together.
As far as Victor is concerned, Kyle may use deceptive tricks to “prove” that Claire will choose him over her grandfather, which could backfire and have consequences.
Claire may disapprove of whatever Kyle has planned, and it could even serve to cause a rift between the new lovers.
Kyle’s attempt to test Claire, not to mention his mistrust and lack of faith in their connection, could leave Claire feeling like maybe her grandfather was right about Kyle.
It will be a bumpy road for Claire and Kyle, and we may see them drift apart if Summer has anything to say about it or if Kyle makes a move that doesn’t sit well with Claire.
