Angela Deem returns to The Maury Show franchise after spending lots of time away from TLC and reality TV. Angela appeared on 90 Day Fiancé to marry Michael Ilesanmi from Nigeria.
The pair would eventually marry and become one of the most infamous and explosive couples in the franchise. Michael cheated on Angela multiple times, causing Angela to lose her trust in him. She would constantly threaten to break up and deport him, but none of her claims ever went through.
Michael would eventually leave Angela to start his own life, ending the couple’s time on TLC. Due to how abrupt their leave was and how aggressive Angela would be towards co-stars, rumors spread that she was fired from TLC indefinitely. While this hasn’t been confirmed, Angela has noticeably strayed away from reality TV for years. That is until recently when Maury Povich reached out to her.

On January 16th, 2025, the officialmauryshow Instagram account posted about Angela returning to its franchise. The post is captioned, “A little dating advice from the Queen.” The reel shows Maury asking about Angela’s love life to which she answers negatively. “Why? Is it because men don’t get you?” asks Maury. Angela responds, “I think I intimidate them.”
Maury also goes on to ask Angela for love advice which doesn’t go well with viewers. “The most important thing I want to tell my queens is run,” she replies. The comments to the post ruthlessly question Angela’s return.
“Run is right! But from HER!!!” exclaims one viewer. Many acknowledge the verbal abuse that Michael went through. They also recognize Angela’s controversial history on the Maury Show.

Angela has had a surprisingly deep and infamous history in the original Maury Show. The show ended back in 2022, but Maury Povich invited Angela back for his new Maury’s Most Memorable Guests: Where Are They Now? spin-off show.
Angela appeared on the Maury Show along with her daughter Scottie Deem. Scottie would prove to be an extremely infamous person after later being arrested for 13 counts of child abuse.

Despite Angela’s repeated offenses with TLC and the controversy she surrounds herself with, she still declares herself the “Queen of reality TV.” Angela, no matter how many times she posts about not caring about drama, loves and craves it. She will continue to take whatever reality TV offers she can get and Maury is just the first step.
However, considering the current lawsuit with her ex-husband Michael, Angela will only continue to leave a bad taste in people’s mouths. Her current appearance on camera has caused viewers to spread the word about her past offenses.
It doesn’t help that most 90 Day fans are on Michael’s side of the story when it comes to Angela being abusive towards him. Soon enough, Angela will likely fade away from the cameras once again.
