‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that 2024 has been a year of endless shockers, tear-jerkers, and big reveals. We think 2025 should be the year GH finds its balance again.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Get Rid Of Drew and Willow Already!

While we’re all for the big thrills, GH, at its core, isn’t solely sensationalistic and desperate to shock people. We will never understand why Kelly Monaco was fired as the legacy character Sam McCall and killed off in such a permanent way.

Monaco’s talent has been wasted for years, and the soap squandered the opportunity to reunite Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam. JaSam fans will never get the happy ending they deserve.

Sam died so that Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) could be with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), and we think bringing back one should not have been at the cost of the other.

With that out of the way, we hope the soap finds a way to be a bit more balanced and a little less sensationalistic. They can start with some lighter, more fun stories.

'General Hospital' Spoilers Drew and Willow get cozy

We also have a request: lose the insipid Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) and Willow Tait Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) pairing. Quite frankly, it’s nauseating, and no one likes them.

We have to wonder if the writers did this so they would be the outcasts and pariahs of Port Charles. What is making the writers think that this couple is watchable?

It would also be fantastic if the writers finally answered the burning question we’ve been dying to know for over a year: who killed Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth)? GH has way too many dropped stories and holes in plots that don’t make much sense.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will We Ever Find Out Who Killed Austin?

Speaking of Austin’s killer, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) needs to be dealt with. He’s gotten away with too much and must be brought to justice. Since he killed Fair Samantha, we want him to pay!

Rocco and Danny help Scout clean up

Also, let’s keep the kids together and living at the Quartermaines. Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante), and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) are heartwarming to watch. More stories involving them would be welcome.

Have Jason go legit, for Danny’s sake. Any job that doesn’t involve danger and constantly running off to leave Danny is the way to go.

He needs to be there for Danny now that Sam is gone, and showcasing their father-son bond would be a smart move. Antonyzyn has proven himself capable of meaty material, and playing him with Jason works well.

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is paired with someone other than Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue). La Rue is a powerhouse, but her character shouldn’t get a free pass for being a judgmental bigot.

    'General Hospital' Spoilers

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) ooze chemistry and are magic onscreen. They have been dancing around each other for over a year. Let’s get the show on the road!

Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattson), the most tortured character on a soap ever, must find happiness. We don’t care how she finds it. Be it her new baby or a romance worthy of her.

GH must get back to its roots if it’s going to find its balance. We’re looking at you, writers! Slow down a bit. One massive shocker per episode is sufficient.
