Ian Ward (Ray Wise) drugged poor Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Tessa is stumbling and gasping for air as Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) arrives and sees her wife with Ian. It’s a dangerous situation. How will Mariah react?
Meanwhile, Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) uses a rag to chloroform Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and kidnap her. How much will these two dastardly devils get away with?
On New Year’s Eve, there is a cute little arc with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) and Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).
Christine thinks Danny is stranded in Canada due to the weather. However, Danny returns to Genoa City for a romantic midnight smooch.
Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford) isn’t enjoying herself at the New Year’s festivities, and as she leaves early, she sets herself up for some significant trouble.
We think Ian and Jordan will frame Phyllis for kidnapping Sharon. She may become the number one suspect in her disappearance as she has a well-known vendetta against her.
But then again, she does believe Sharon killed Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and framed Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) for the murder.
The December 31st episode is a repeat. It will be the episode in which Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) surprises Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) with the newly renovated Newman Ranch.
The January 1st episode is a repeat from April 2006. Sharon confronts Phyllis over her affair with Nick, starting their years-long rivalry, which continues today.

Jordan and Ian follow through with their frame-up job on Phyllis. Phyllis will now understand what it feels like to be framed; however, does this mean she’ll cut Sharon some slack? Highly doubtful.
Phyllis shares a secret with Daniel. Is this the kind that could lead to suspicion? As people start to doubt Phyllis’s innocence, knowing how much she despises Sharon and wants revenge, will she regret leaving the New Year’s party early?
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may question Phyllis about her New Year’s Eve whereabouts. She recently told him she wanted justice for Daniel and Heather.
While the police interrogate Phyllis, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) makes a shocking discovery. Could it clear Sharon’s name?
Later, Jordan goes after a new victim. Who will be her next target? Mariah feels haunted by her painful past with Ian.
Nathan Owens is set to debut on Y&R on January 8th. We will soon learn if he’s playing Nate Hastings‘s (Sean Dominic) half-brother, Damian, as The Count of Monte Crisco mystery unravels.
Nate and Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford) get a lead on Damian. Nate questions Damian, but he could run once he suspects he’s been found out.
