‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers taunt that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) disapproves of her ex-husband, Kyle Abbott‘s (Michael Mealor) working relationship with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) at Glissade.
‘The Young & The Restless’ Spoilers: Summer Gave Kyle An Ultimatum
Summer dared to give Kyle an ultimatum: either quit his job or get rid of Audra. It’s not her place to decide who Kyle should and shouldn’t be working with.
Summer claims she’s only trying to protect Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) from negative influences, but we think it’s more than that.
Summer appears to be jealous of every woman within a ten-mile radius of Kyle. She vehemently protested Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) being the little boy’s nanny.
She saw Claire’s connection with Harrison, and Kyle was very impressed by her. Summer could barely contain herself. Audra had an affair with Kyle when he was still married to Summer.
While Summer tried to repair the marriage, Kyle was sleeping with Audra. But she doesn’t want to admit that Kyle’s past relationship with another woman is triggering her sudden concern about Audra.
Summer is so green with envy that she would blend into the forest. Of all the people to call Summer out, it was her mother and professional schemer, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Phyllis asked Summer, point blank if she had requested Kyle to end his association with Audra because Kyle was moving on.
Summer claims that Audra is a threat to Harrison, but Audra has never even met the boy. Phyllis knows her daughter very well and suspects there is more to the story.
Not to mention, like mother like daughter. Of course, Summer denies her jealousy, but it is evident when she throws a hissy fit over someone who does not influence her son.
‘The Young & The Restless’ Spoilers: Audra, Kyle, And Nate Could All Benefit From The Scheme
With business tycoon Victor Newman (Eric Braden) at the helm of Glassade, Summer painted a target on Audra’s back.
Audra’s job is in danger as long as Summer’s grandfather runs the show. Fortunately, Summer doesn’t know anything about Audra’s personal life. So, there is potential for a scheme that could benefit everyone to be put in place.
Audra is dating Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). To save her job and to get Summer to back off, Kyle, Audra, and Nate could pretend they are engaged so that Summer backs off.
Not only would that help Audra, but Kyle might also be able to show that Summer’s reasons for wanting custody of Harrison are rooted in jealousy.
Audra, Kyle, and Nate could conceive this plot for the greater good. Nate would do it if it meant helping Audra, and Kyle’s motivation would be to get Summer to stop nagging at him.
Nate is interested in a serious relationship with Audra, and this would be his opportunity to make that happen. Audra has a definite distaste for the word marriage, but Summer doesn’t know that either. It’s the perfect plan.
Who does Summer think she is anyway? She’s demonstrated that she’s willing to go to extremes to control Kyle and keep him away from any member of the female persuasion.
