‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers are curious how many different ways the show can destroy a character.

As the writers have moved down their list, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is once again at bat.

The latest run to raise her level of hypocrisy had her change the results of Heather Webber (Alley Mills)’s cobalt poisoning levels.

As we previously saw, she used her keycard to enter the lab and then signed onto a computer to change the results.

Her reasoning is understandable as she wants to protect her daughter. But like most things with Portia, she did so in a manic fear manner.

And since her entering the lab and signing into the computer can be tracked, it’s only a matter of time until she’s busted. And then she’ll lose her job and will have to reevaluate her life.

But first, she’ll try to deflect the blame.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Brad Cooper’s just in time

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers think there’s a good chance Portia will try to blame Brad Cooper (Parry Shin) for changing the report.

After all, he has a history and she promised to watch him like a hawk. Aside from her hypocrisy being on full display, it shows the writers may change some of the recent history.

It’s nothing new since they change it in just about every episode as they force things to fit into their narrative.

But this would be a bit much of one simple reason: she doesn’t know Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) is asking questions.

She didn’t know Brad was back until now-ish, so there’s no time or reason for her to set him up. Though we’re sure the writers will tweak that.

There is another option, and far more likely.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Always the victim

The writers like to act like their female characters are strong women.

Unfortunately, except for a few they tend to write them as being imbalanced, always needing help, or perpetual victims.

The first and last fits Portia perfectly. They try to show her as being a strong female by overreacting, being a hypocrite, and then not understanding why everyone’s mad at her.

So when she’s found out and assuming history isn’t changed to make Brad guilty, she’ll go full victim.

She’ll complain about losing her position and job, which she should, while he was given a second chance.

She’ll ignore that her actions could potentially translate into treating Heather or someone else not to the best of her ability. Like during a surgery if she knows they’re going free.

It’s something the hospital will want to protect itself from. Add in the fact Brad was punished, and her argument falls flat.

But chances are someone will hear her and step up. Mostly likely Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) with some heavy handed lecturing about Portia’s struggles.

There are several ways the writers can go with this, and we hope they let the storyline play out organically. Unfortunately, we have a feeling that won’t be the case.

Should Portia lose her job for her actions? Let us know in the comments below.
