Prince Harry may be extending an olive branch to King Charles. His tell-all memoir, “Spare,” is set to be released in paperback. In the book, Harry trashes his family and makes several claims about them, including details surrounding an altercation between Harry and his brother, Prince William, that turned physical.

He also vilified Camilla, called her his “wicked stepmother,” and said that she was “dangerous.” Usually, when a hardback version of a non-fiction book is published in paperback, additional chapters or updated information is included.
The book’s publisher indicated that the ” Spare ” paperback release contains no new information. This must be a relief for the royals, especially given King Charles and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnoses.
However, as true to form Sussex style, the book’s October release will clash with King Charles’s appearance at the Samoa Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
It will be the first time he’s attended since he’s been crowned King. The meeting will be held from October 21st to 25th, as Harry’s paperback will be released on October 22nd in the US and October 24th in the UK.
Since Spare’s first publication in January 2023, relations between Harry and the royal family have been fraught with adversity, and their divide has grown wider over -time.
Harry and Charles don’t see eye to eye on several issues. Charles wants to see his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, but Harry’s taxpayer-funded security has been withdrawn since he’s no longer a working royal.
Harry claims the UK is unsafe for him, yet he willingly traveled with his wife, Meghan Markle, to Nigeria and, more recently, Columbia.
Both countries are dangerous due to crime, kidnapping, assault, and robbery. Yet, Harry and Meghan went to both countries for self-serving reasons.

Charles isn’t at all happy with Harry using his titles for publicity and commercial gain. Harry and Meghan only care about what benefits them.
For William’s part, he’s furious with his brother, not just on behalf of his father but also his wife. In an excerpt from “Spare,” Harry said that Princess Kate made Meghan cry over Princess Charlotte’s ill-fitted flower girl dress for the Sussexes wedding in May 2018.
In the Dutch edition of Omid Scobie’s book Endgame, the author names King Charles and Kate Middleton as the two “royal racists.” Scobie, Meghan’s mouthpiece, didn’t do it by “accident.” He purposefully left in the book because he’s an anti-monarchist and thinks poorly of the royal family.
Prince Harry and Prince William haven’t spoken to each other since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022. There are also rumors that William plans not to invite Harry and Meghan to his coronation when he becomes King. There is so much bad blood between the brothers.
With the re-release of the book, old wounds may reopen. “Spare” sold six million copies and became a massive hit. It’s not hard to imagine some people bought it to see how ridiculous Harry’s claims were.
Even though the book was a commercial success, Harry’s reputation has suffered irreparable damage, and his family may never fully forgive him.
