Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have articulated their desire to heal the divide between the royal family and themselves. They are reportedly “racing against time” to build bridges with King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton before the presidential election’s outcome.
Harry Claimed That He Never Used Drugs
This situation is because Donald Trump has said on several occasions that should he win the election, he wouldn’t hesitate to send Harry back to the UK, as he is currently under investigation by The Heritage Foundation over suspicion that he lied on his visa application, claiming that he never used drugs.
However, Harry’s tell-all memoir, “Spare,” tells a different story. In the book, the Duke of Sussex admits that he used various drugs. The drugs include marijuana, cocaine, and psychedelic mushrooms. He used drugs in an effort to help manage his grief over the loss of his mother, Princess Diana. In the US, that could be grounds for deportation.
The son of previous President Donald Trump, Eric, called Harry and Meghan “spoiled apples” and reiterated what his father said about the prince. If Trump wins the election, Harry could quickly be deported.
“You can happily have these two,” Eric said. “We might not want them anymore; it feels like they’re on an island of their own.”
Harry and Meghan walked away as working royals in January 2020. They eventually made their way to California and moved into their mansion in Montecito.
The couple resides with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland. They are allegedly preparing a contingency plan should the Duke be deported.
Trump declared that if he were elected, Harry would not have “special privileges.” He added, “If he lied, they’ll have to take appropriate action.”
While Meghan was on the legal drama “Suits,” she commented that Donald Trump was “divisive” and a “misogynist.” She also went as far as to say that if Trump was elected president, she may remain in Canada.
Prince Harry Has Made Several Attempts To Contact King Charles
The Duke and Duchess are said to be “desperate” to repair their damaged relationship with the royals. Despite Harry claiming that he won’t return to the UK unless he has police protection, Harry and Meghan have tried for a reconciliation behind the scenes.
Several recent articles in People magazine, which tend to favor Harry and Meghan, have discussed Harry’s sadness due to his father, King Charles, not taking his phone calls.
Harry has made several attempts to contact Charles, who apparently doesn’t want to respond to him. During an interview on Good Morning America, Harry said that he believed Charles’s cancer diagnosis could unite the family.
Meanwhile, Charles has said that Harry is emotionally blackmailing him because he won’t let him see his grandchildren unless the security situation is resolved. He wants Charles to intervene on his behalf and convince RAVEC to change their minds.
Harry has appealed the High Court’s decision not to reinstate his taxpayer-funded police protection. He claimed the UK was “too dangerous” for his family since the British Government had stopped his security.
Royal expert Richard Eden said, “With their lavish lifestyle and income streams increasingly uncertain, it might not be surprising if the Sussexes were looking to the future with some trepidation.”
