Like his father, William cares deeply about the environment. He also believes in helping people without homes as much as possible.
As the Prince of Wales, William plays a significant role in preserving the Duchy of Cornwall. In 2023, William launched one of his most advantageous endeavors: his “Homeward” homelessness plan through the Duchy.
The goal is to help communities support those in need, with the desired, eventual outcome of eliminating homelessness.
These are essential aspects of his work as the Prince of Wales, and they also serve as a blueprint for his role as future King.
William feels his most critical job is raising the next future monarch and teaching him how to lead the royal family.
Through example, he wants to show George the power of good works. He’s training his son to follow in his footsteps.
William Made Three Decisions As The Prince Of Wales That Differ From Charles
When Charles was diagnosed with cancer, it didn’t slow him down. He’s continued working throughout his ordeal. However, he takes breaks for treatment and does what’s best for his health.
William is showing George a sense of responsibility as he helps his wife, Kate Middelton, who is facing her own cancer diagnosis.
Kate had not been seen in public since Christmas before Trooping the Color. William demonstrates the importance of family, as he has been caring for Kate and their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

The more William has settled into his role as the Prince of Wales, the more he appreciates his father’s achievements. The two don’t need to agree completely, but they are proud of one another.
