‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicates that something fishy is going on with Ava Jerome (Maura West). Her actions don’t seem to make a lot of sense and it is difficult to determine what team she is playing on. What are her plans for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)? Is she going to try to take him down?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Medications
GH’s Ava seemed to be struggling to sleep and dug around in Sonny’s medicine cabinet for something to take. She found his prescription for some meds which cause drowsiness. Ava seems to be too savvy a person to misuse drugs, but she removed some pills making us all think that she took some.
This suggested that perhaps Ava was going to do something crazy, like take too many and inadvertently harm herself. But then Ava was carrying these pills in a zip-lock bag in her purse. She called a lab and asked them if they could test the ingredients of a capsule and its strength.
This seems like an odd thing to do. Does she believe that Sonny’s prescription bottle isn’t accurate? Does she think he is taking something else? What is she up to? Is she going to try to destroy him?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: “Best” Friend
GH’s Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) considers Ava to be her best, and only friend in Port Charles. Since Nina’s relationship with Sonny is on the rocks, she has asked Ava to advocate for her.
She asks Ava if Sonny still thinks of her. The news isn’t good. Sonny still doesn’t want to hear Nina’s name and starts to drink when he hears it. Ava contends this is still good because it means that Nina is “under his skin”.
Nina begs for Ava’s opinion on selling her half of the Metro Court to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). She thinks this will please Sonny because she believes Sonny and Jason are best friends. Nina knows that Jason will turn it over to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) but thinks that will please Sonny too.
Strangely, Ava agrees with Nina. She tells her that Jason and Sonny are indeed best friends and that this would be a good move. This is far from the truth. Sonny doesn’t trust Jason or Carly right now.
This won’t impress him at all but will in fact make him question Nina even more. Why is Ava giving her friend such terrible advice? Why is she trying to hurt her best friend’s chances this way? What does she have up her sleeve?
