If there’s one rule ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers has learned to accept in Port Charles, it’s that certain characters always get a helping hand and land on their feet.
Such is the case with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) as she gets constant help when she needs it and never has to learn from her actions as a consequence.
The show recently started us down a new path as her main enemy and ex boyfriend are hooking up.
Yep, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) are now a couple in the loosest sense of the word as both of them are just looking to spite Carly.
We’re sure this will end well.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Obvious pairing
While on the surface this could be a shock, given how vehemently Drew kept antagonizing Nina seemed like the tried and true method soaps have used to bring people together for years.
And as soon as Drew’s shirt was ripped it was a done deal. But why?
Well, ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers think they’re manipulating each other to drive Carly crazy.
Drew would love for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to disappear so he can have Carly, and Nina just hates her like Carly hates her. In other words, a healthy relationship for soaps.
So while Drew started to antagonize Nina for whatever reason, there is the chance he was just taking his frustration out on her but more likely he hopes to make Carly jealous.
As for Nina, she’ll just enjoy letting Carly know the men in Carly’s life prefer her, while Carly will consider them her leftovers and we’ll be off and running.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Really falling for each other?
While their intentions are anything but pure, we have a feeling Nina and Drew will eventually fall for each other.
It’ll take some more bickering and denials from them both, but eventually they’ll start to come around and like each other, if they don’t already on some level.
To be fair, at this point it’s hard to tell what the writers have planned the way they’re all over the place with a character saying one thing this episode and another an episode or two later.
We think this could be a fun storyline as it’ll make Drew interesting as he’ll plot to get Carly back and pay Nina back for sending him to prison, only to start falling for her instead.
If done right, this has potential to have all sorts of twists and turns to keep us entertained for a long time.
