If you saw the last wedding between this doomed pair, you know Nina was devastated to learn Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) wasn’t her daughter. Rightfully, she assumed Valentin’s part in this and took off. Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) took her in for the night and offered a sympathetic ear. He’s been trying to help by first advising her to steer clear of Valentin, then begging her to forget about revenge. On Thursday, he’ll continue this trend in a different way. This time, he’ll go to Ava Jerome (Maura West) and insist he doesn’t want Nina to get hurt. But is it too late for that?

In related news, you might also remember Nina recently got the truth about Valentin’s part in the Sasha lie, as well as how he helped pull it off. We saw her take the DNA samples to GH last week for testing. On January 2nd, it looks like Nina and Sasha will clear the air. The preview for the day showed her ask Nina how long she’s known Sasha didn’t act alone. We’re hopeful this pair can get beyond this whole mess and team up again. We like their rapport.

Last week, Valentin learned Charlotte told Laura Webber (Genie Francis) she’d seen a picture of her bodyguard. Valentin was angry and wanted answers, so we guess he confronts them about this. Laura’s likely going to try convincing Charlotte this guy she thinks is her bodyguard is dead. This is not going to be pretty for Laura. We actually feel really bad for her.

Of course, don’t expect a little thing like his daughter’s potential stability to keep Valentin distracted long. With the wedding as well, he’ll be seriously multi-tasking Thursday. The preview showed him tell Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) the codicil still exists.
