‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers find that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will soon find themselves on the rebound.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) dumped Valentin, and we all know it’s only a matter of time before Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) breaks up with Nina.
Valentin and Nina are both at fault for allowing Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) to terrorize Anna and their choice to delete the security footage that showed Charlotte breaking into Anna’s room.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nina and Valentin Were Always Schemers
Nina started her relationship with Valentin in August 2016 by having a fling with him. Then, Nina and Valentin got married so she could help Valentin take Charlotte away from her mother, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan).
Nina and Valentin were a popular couple, and there is probably a good reason. The two of them are very similar to each other.
Valentin and Nina lied to “protect” Charlotte in the stupidest way imaginable. They let Anna think that someone dangerous was after her and didn’t warn her that it was Charlotte all along.
Of course, Anna is a bad a** super spy. She doesn’t play games when someone is a threat. Anna is trained to use deadly force when it is necessary.
So, of course, when Anna thought there was an intruder in her home, not knowing it was Charlotte, she shot her and didn’t miss.
When Anna discovered she had shot Charlotte, she was devastated. When she found out Valentin knew Charlotte was stalking her and didn’t tell her, she was furious.
Nina is a special kind of crazy. She kept Sonny away from his family for months at Nixon Falls. Once he remembered his identity, he returned to Port Charles to be with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and his kids.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Will Be Livid
Sonny and Nina eventually got back together, and all was forgiven, but not by the fans. The final straw was when Nina ratted Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) out to the SEC. She only did it because she was jealous of Carly’s relationship with her daughter, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).
Nina married Sonny without telling him the truth; true to form, the secret has come out. When Sonny finds out what Nina did to the mother of his children, he will divorce her faster than a New York minute.
Sonny could forgive her lies in Nixon falls, but Sonny will not forgive her for putting his family in danger. He will also be livid when he finds out what she did to Anna.
That leaves Valentin and Nina both alone and vulnerable. They have pulled together to cover Charlotte’s crimes and will likely come full circle with another fling while they rebound. They have Charlotte to thank for that.
Charlotte became close to Nina, and the girl has been trying to get Anna away from her father. Getting Nina and Valentin back together seems the perfect way to do that.
Nina and Valentin have a history of being selfish and manipulative to get what they want. It’s predictable but great soap for Valentin and Nina to get precisely what they deserve in the end: each other.
