There’s some interesting stretching of truths and abilities in ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers to serve Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and save Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), but then that’s par for the course.
Carly always gets her way one way or the other, and with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) helping her, they’ve managed to construct a trap so they can bait and threaten to publicly smear the judge that handed Drew his sentence.
There’s two ways they expect this to work out — the judge will cave to their pressure and reverse his ruling, or another judge will read about him, accept the appeal, and change the sentencing.
The fact is, neither should happen and wouldn’t outside of a soap opera, but that’s never stopped it from happening again.
But this opens another possibility, and that’s where Carly and even Alexis get themselves into trouble.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Carly’s behind bars
The most realistic way for this to go, and the most dramatic for the show, would be for the judge to have a habit of recording his visit to ensure nothing untoward was happening or bring an assistant or someone with to keep track.
It’s not necessarily something we’d normally see, but in this case and with the judge being such an ego maniac it’d make sense he’d want his own people there to chronical what’s being said.
If Alexis or Carly push too hard, which is something Carly habitually does, then ‘General Hospital’ spoilers wouldn’t be surprised if he decided to bring them up on charges of trying to blackmail him and things will go south from there.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Where she belongs
This won’t be a popular opinion, but Carly belongs in jail for insider trading. She did it. She knows it, she admits it, and she dodged her punishment because Drew threw himself on his sword.
He also pulled a garbage human being move by sacrificing years with his child for Carly and even offered to give his kid’s financial future to Carly to pay her bills.
Seriously. And no one on the show except Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) had an issue with any of that? Granted, Sam eventually came around because Carly always gets her way, and that’s a huge failing by the writers.
There’s a chance that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will get the news that Carly when he calls about finding out who turned her in, and he may also learn that he’s wanted at Drew’s partner in the whole thing.
This would create so much awesome drama as we get to see everyone brought down and have to fight their way to freedom and reclaim their lives, but chances are the writers will take the easy path.
