‘General Hosptial’ (GH) spoilers suggests that things are getting a little dire for Gladys Corbin (Bonne Burroughs). What will she decide to do when she exhausts all of Sasha Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) assets and resources?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Keeping the Money
Gladys Corbin has a serious gambling problem. She spends a lot of time at the Savoy, playing poker at Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) tables and losing. She owes Selina a lot of money.
Since Gladys doesn’t have that kind of money, she has been relying on her daughter-in-law, Sasha Corbin’s assets and resources. Sasha had a mental breakdown and was dealing with substance abuse issues. She suffered the devastating loss of her child and her husband and things went downhill fast.
Gladys was given guardianship over Sasha and that meant she was given control over all of Sasha’s finances as well. At first, she was cautious about how much she accessed so that Sasha would not know what was going on.
While she made some big decisions financially, like selling Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage, she mostly just kept it under wraps.
However, Gladys is getting more greedy and more desperate. She is shopping and spending more but she is also gambling more, and her debt is greater.
When Sasha thinks she is feeling good enough to dissolve the guardianship and take control of her own life and her finances, Gladys has to take action to stop that from happening.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Getting More Desperate
Gladys is so concerned about Sasha gaining control again that she convinces Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) to help her to keep Sasha incapacitated. He agrees and prescribes benzodiazepines to Sasha.
They make her go crazy. She hallucinates and attacks Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), believing him to be Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
Sasha ends up getting committed to Ferncliff Hospital for the Criminally Insane, where Dr. Montague is overmedicating her and might be endangering her life.
Gladys wants him to back off now, but he refuses unless he is paid. Gladys isn’t going to pay to help save Sasha. She has definitely created one big mess with her greed.
Signs are that she is running low on funds though. She has gotten sloppy and has let her spending and her gambling get out of control. She wants to sell Sasha’s stock at Deception because she needs the money.
However, Deception is getting sued and she is unable to move the stock. She is upset and frustrated. What is she going to do now that she has exhausted all of her resources? And, will she ever be held accountable for all of her actions?
