‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and company (many others) will soon find out about his fiancée Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) betrayal.
The ripple effect of Nina’s betrayal will indeed send shock waves throughout Port Charles. It is something that the very vocal anti-Nina camp and the Carson fans have been clamoring for.
Nothing has been more polarizing on GH than the divide between Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Nina fans.
Many devotees believe that Sonny and Carly are soulmates who belong together, while some say Sonny has found his softer side with Nina.
The truth is that Sonny and Carly will always have each other’s backs no matter who or what is up against them. Carly is the mother of Sonny’s kids; family comes first with Sonny.
Sonny doesn’t take kindly to anyone who threatens his family, and Nina crossed that line when she turned Carly and Drew in to the SEC.
Nina will be told to hit the road all the way back to Nixon Falls when Sonny finds out Nina ratted on Carly and Drew, not to mention putting Sonny at serious risk of being investigated.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Revenge May Not Be So Sweet
In a single moment of anger, Nina decided she wanted to exact revenge on Carly and, on an impulse, did something that had catastrophic results for many people.
Nina has difficulty accepting that her daughter, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), leans on her mother-in-law, Carly, for support.
Willow asked Carly to walk her down the aisle when Drew went to Greenland to save Liesel Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Willow did not even invite Nina to the wedding.
Nina was so hurt that she took matters into her own hands, not fully grasping the consequences of her actions. Little did she know that that one phone call could cost her so much.
Drew (Cameron Mathison) is in jail, and if Carly had pleaded guilty instead of Drew, she could have also gone to prison.
Fortunately for Sonny, Carly is not the type to rat anybody out. When Carly’s kids, Micheal Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), presented Carly with the idea of turning Sonny in to the feds, she immediately declined.
Carly is smart enough to know that if Sonny goes to prison, it can put her family in harm’s way.
It won’t be pretty when Sonny finds out about what Nina did. Remember when Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) wore a wire on Sonny? The man DESPISES betrayal with a capital D.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nina’s Secret Will Be Revealed
Secrets always have a way of coming out. It may not be a matter of if Sonny will find out, but when he does find out. Carly fans will be cheering, and Nina’s fans will be worried that she will face Carly’s wrath.
There are also questions that the fans from two different camps will be asking. Will Sonny leave Nina when he discovers her betrayal?
If he does, will that leave the door open for a “Carson” reunion?
How will Willow react when she learns Nina hurt Carly and Drew and jeopardized her life, as Drew was frantically searching for Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) in Greenland?
What about Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco)? Drew was sent to prison, leaving Scout (Cosette Abinante) again without a father. Sam will undoubtedly have something to say about the whole ordeal.
Not to mention Olivia Falconari (Lisa LiCicero) generously offered to help plan Nina and Sonny’s wedding without knowing that Nina was the reason Ned Quartermain (Wally Kurth) was falsely accused of tipping off the SEC.
Many people will be furious once word gets out about what Nina did.
The fallout of this secret’s reveal will surely be the stuff that General Hospital does best: building up to the fireworks. And a long-awaited showdown between Nina and Carly!
