And by that we mean that she’s putting her own self on the line in order to protect her daughter, Summer Newman (Alison Lanier). For all of those Y&R fans that have been watching the show for a very long time, they know this is totally out of character for Phyllis.

‘The Young and the Restless’ spoilers say that Phyllis is going to have her life turned upside down. She just agreed to a plea deal with Christine that might see her daughter Summer out of jail. That’s because she was an accessory to her crime.
Let’s take it back a bit here, shall we? The Young and the Restless fans know that Phyllis is a very jealous person. The reason why she pretended to be dead was because she wanted to frame her murder on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Phyllis hated seeing Diane all over Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). That’s because Jack belonged to her.
But that’s not the only horrible crime that Phyllis is accused of doing. She also killed Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). But she supposedly did that in self-defense.

Either way, Phyllis knows that her life is never going to be the same again, even if she won’t admit to it out loud. However, it’s her daughter Summer that she’s worried about. Summer knew all along that her mother was alive when she pretended to be dead.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Phyllis is willing to take the downfall. But at the same time, this is Phyllis Summers that we are talking about. The woman has never paid a price for her actions in the past. She has a litany of crimes that she’s committed yet she’s always managed to walk away as a free woman.
So, what do The Young and the Restless spoilers have in store for us now? Knowing how Phyllis Summers operates, it’s highly likely that she’ll come up with a plan to save herself and her freedom.
She might be doing this all for Summer but really, Phyllis is just doing it for herself.
