‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) won’t take anyone’s advice when it comes to her relationships. She is fiercely independent and knows what she wants. Even when others have warnings for her, she doesn’t want to hear them. Will this make her more vulnerable where Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is concerned?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Distrust
While Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) seems to trust and believe in everything his daughter does, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) have been more distrusting.
Nick Newman has been concerned since he discovered that Victoria and Nate were sleeping together. He knows that Nate betrayed his family at Chancellor-Winters. Nate also cheated on Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) as he started a relationship with Victoria.
Nick has always felt that Nate is after more at Newman Enterprises and believes it is all about the power. He doesn’t trust Nate’s ambition. This is justified when Victoria removes Nick from his position as COO and gives it to Nate.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Worried for Victoria
Nikki also has her concerns about Nate and Victoria. Victoria went through a terrible experience with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Victoria has struggled to recover from that fiasco.
Nikki is worried that Victoria could be setting herself up for another similar situation, since Nate is all about climbing the corporate ladder, no matter what the cost.
When Victoria is on a trip, Nikki takes the opportunity to confront Nate and investigate his intentions. He admits that he is not in love with Victoria. He also admits that he seems himself running Newman Enterprises at her side one day. He is being honest about his intentions, and that is a good thing.
Nikki does warn him that if he treats Victoria well that they will be good friends, but if he hurts Victoria, Nikki will be his worst nightmare. When Victoria returns, she is not happy to find out that Nikki has been grilling Nate.
Victoria doesn’t welcome her mother’s advice or her interference. She is content with her life right now and with the status of her relationship with Nate. Neither of them are looking for anything more serious.
Nikki wants her daughter to experience true love and feels sad that Victoria is just “settling” right now. What do you think the future is for Nate and Victoria? Will she fall in love with him and will he hurt her?
