General Hospital spoilers for the week of July 17th reveal there are two big stories to focus on. First, we’ll see more of the aftermath of the Metro Court shooting as Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) continues to fight. Plus, we’ll see Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) in a serious situation. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital spoilers: The fight continues
First, General Hospital spoilers reveal Curtis has been unconscious since the shooting and his surgery. The week of July 17 will see his family waiting for a change in his condition. Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will be especially worried and ask Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) to tell her he’ll be okay. We’re not sure what she can really say to make Trina feel better, but we think there’s a good sign in the promo.
There’s a shot of Portia and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) hugging in the clip. When the camera angle changes, it looks as though Portia is smiling, so that could mean TJ’s passing along some good news. Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time a character was upset and looked more like they were laughing, so who knows? We’re still willing to bet things will get better for Curtis and the whole family.
General Hospital spoilers: Too far?
So, the other big story is Sasha. Let’s catch up a second. General Hospital spoilers reveal Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) is in debt to Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and desperate to settle her account. So, she’s conspiring with Sasha’s doctor to sabotage the petition to end the guardianship. Already, their plan had Sasha being accused of shop lifting, something Maxie Jones (Kirstin Storms) was able to take care of. But this next situation might be a little harder to handle.
The promo shows Sasha looking as though she’s about to meltdown. Worse yet, it looks like she lashes out and does something serious. So much so, Sasha looks horrified and it sounds like she’s asking what she’s done. Even worse than that, the clip also shows Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) answering a call and sounding shocked by what she hears. Given she’s been looking into the situation with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), it’s possible she’s getting news about what happened with Sasha.
General Hospital spoilers: Motive
Finally, we just have to take a second here to point out how horrible Gladys is and how furious Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and others will be when the truth comes out. She might want to act like her sabotage of Sasha is all about that debt, but it’s clearly not. Yes, that has to be a big part of it when you have someone like Selina on your back. But it’s obvious from that shopping spree last time that Gladys is enjoying her access to Sasha’s money. She’s abusing her position and allowing her own greed to call the shots, which is a shame. Like we said before, she seemed to grow so much since taking charge of Sasha and even a little before that.
Unfortunately for her, she decided to through that all away and Sasha is paying the price. And it’s going to lead to a lot worse trouble once Selina’s part in this comes out. We just hope at some point the writers give poor Sasha a break.
