Y&R’s Daniel and Lily met back in 2004 in the Crimson Lights coffee shop. Daniel and Lily were in fact one another’s “first loves.” They ran away together because their parents did not approve of their relationship.
They took off to Las Vegas and got married, forging their parent’s signatures to do so. When they returned to Genoa City, their parents did not have the marriage annulled since it wasn’t really legal but learned to accept their relationship.
The young marriage faced many challenges, and the couple end up divorcing in 2007. This came about because of Daniel’s internet pornography addiction and some other schemes he was involved in.
While they weren’t a couple anymore, they have remained friends and confidants. When they have faced difficulties like cancer and the loss of loved ones, they have stood by one another.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Growing Closer
Recently, Daniel went through the fake loss of his mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Everyone thought she was dead and grieved for her.
It turns out that she faked her own death to frame Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). All of this has been difficult for Michael to bear, and Lily has been there for him, every step of the way.
He feels that Lily support him and cares for him. He can rely on her when things get difficult and he has tried to be that person for her. As they have gone through this together, it has rekindled some feelings that they have for each other. They have shared some romantic moments.
What is on their minds for the future? Lily just moved into Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) old penthouse, as he moved to the Chancellor estate with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Will Lily invite Daniel to live with her?
