Mike Halac, a former WWE wrestler known for his persona as Mantaur in the 1990s, has passed away at the age of 55.

The news of Halac’s passing was shared by his daughter, Demi, on his personal Facebook page. She announced that he peacefully passed away in his sleep and is no longer in pain.

“He went peacefully in his sleep. He’s no longer in pain. This really hit home to lose my father, he will forever be in my heart and many others. I love you dad. Make the skies beautiful for me.”

Losing her father has deeply affected Demi, and she expressed that he will forever hold a place in her heart and the hearts of many others. She sent her love to her dad and hoped that he would create a beautiful sky for her.

Halac initially competed as Bruiser Mastino in the Catch Wrestling Association before joining the World Wrestling Federation as Mantaur. His portrayal of the half-man/half-beast Minotaur character suited his 400-pound physique.

Despite his battle with diabetes, which he openly discussed, Halac continued to wrestle until 2019. Wrestler Paul Neu, also known as P.N. News, paid a heartfelt tribute to his tag partner, friend, and brother in every sense except blood.

Neu expressed the pain of this loss and his deep affection for Halac, highlighting their occasional conflicts but ultimate reconciliation. He concluded by stating that Halac will be missed and sending blessings to his soul until they meet again.

“This is a bitter pill to swallow. RIP Michael Halac my tag partner, great friend and brother in all sense of the word except blood. We fought like family, but always made up. You will be missed. God bless your soul. Until we meet again. Love you brother.” Paul Neu wrote.
